The Mets can have him. He wasn't a bad announcer, though his use of $10 vocabulary words made life tough on Butchie. He's a Rags fan at heart, so I always felt his sincerity for the team was a shade insincere. Would love to see Billy Jaffe back now that we have new owners. He seemingly has more passion for the team than some of the players and calling out the people in power once in a while isn't a bad thing.

Noel, have you reached out to Billy for a podcast? Wonder how freely he would speak?

I hope we don't get some kid fresh out of school and should be doing high school football. Butch makes the games entertaining with his rambling and constant mispronounced names. I think dp does a good job at intermission hes knowledgeable as long as he doesn't get hurt while on set

Really nice guy as I was fortunate to meet him a few times, and he told me some crazy "political" stories of his stay w/isles, so doubt he'll come back, plus his gig on NHL network (I think) is a good one for him...
