That would be fantastic to get a player that good in a later round. That's the reason the Oilers haven't progressed. They do well in the first round, but not in later rounds, finding diamonds in the rough.

All of this talk about Liane is ridiculous? Do you really think that someone's going to pay a Kings ransom for a winger? Centers and defensemen are at a premium in the draft. Liane may be a great scorer, but what about his all around game? I'll take Matthews, thanks to his status as a prototypical power center.

I know that you're going to say Stamkos and I agree that he can score, but he won't play the wing. Spending $10 million dollars for a second line centre is a waste of cap space. If he'd sign for 5 years, then no problem. Leafs are going to need that cap space, when all of their young guns come out of their entry level contracts. If you bridge them, you buy a couple of years, but it's better to give them more up front. By spreading it out over 8 years, instead of getting 2 or 3 cheap years at the start and have to renegotiate at a higher cap hit......like P.K. Subban, you can protect your cap. Habs could have given him an 8 year, $6 million contract, but bridged him instead. Now they're stuck with him at $9 million a copy. Very hard on the cap.

Next year we will be hurtin for any kind of a squirtin, but as the youth progress we are gold! And we have too much youth, which means we get to package them up for other prime aged players!

I had no idea, but I think we got some Dzierkels guy in the 3rd round this year and he will be playing for Rouyn in the Memorial Cup. But man, if you guys have been watching the London Knights - ....yeah Knights win. But anything can happen in a 1 game series.

Zach Hyman is gonna be one of those amazing 3rd liners that can slot it onto the 1st or 2nd line with two high talent players.

Hyman, Connor Brown and Connor Carrick are probably the best young Marlies right now.

Cap hit. Anything 10 and under is fine. I costed it out at 11 million and we're good for at least 5 years. It's fine to have two elite centers and get them both ice. Crosby/Malkin get their ice. Dats/Zetts get their ice, etc.

It would be nice to have two first lines. Stamkos on one with genious playmaker wingers.(marner anybody?) Matthews on the other with some elite vet help(JVR?)
