If we won the lottery last year & drafted McDavid, is Kessel still on this team?
- MCharisma91

So guys playing on the 3rd line are getting better opportunities for success than guys on the 1st line?
- Atomic Wedgie

not typically... but if you have first line offensive talent... and you get those matchups.. you will succeed

I agree. They now have three lines that can easily outscore their opponents. They are a dangerous team. The Caps were my cup pick too

You need to consider momentum and playoff performers when picking a cup favourite...

Caps didn't have either on their side...

EK has us trading Rielly, Nylander and Marner for Laine.

I know the Jets wouldn't do it, but would the Leafs?

- walshyleafsfan

Actually I believe its just Rielly and Nylander.......which changes everything

All I'm concerned about is what's directly ahead of us now. Liking Kapanen more and more as things progress.

Kessel is the past. Im not sorry he's gone elsewhere.

Lemme help you out with this, Dozzer.

He's not being paid to be a 3rd line winger.

He's being paid to be the team's leading scorer.

The fact that he can do it while playing with two pieces of dog poop seems to indicate it is money well-spent.

- Atomic Wedgie

This is only true when talking about Kadri.

Why the (frank) is Ellis on the team?

no time to get used to tourney play and already tired from the playoffs..

bad call Canada.. Finland is crushing Canada..

It's time to move on from the Perry types...

They play a very North American style game. Probably my favorite system outside of ours. They play tough and responsible, produce elite level players in all facets. I'm never upset when they succeed.

All of 'em.

But seriously, start Pickard in the 3rd. Can't be any worse.

And the players always seem to gel quick and turn it up a notch in international tournaments. Great program.

17:13 in the playoffs, a good minute less than he got in toronto that time they fluked a playoff appearance.

he seems able to produce in any situation.
