U laugh at my idea. . . Y would the Oilers ever do that and how do we get them to take Glass and get Staal to agree to go to Edm?
- nyrangers9479

I only laughed because it reminded me of the Ranger team just before the lockout...The New York Strangers.

I didn't laugh, just thought you are seriously short changing the Rangers on McDonagh's worth. If its McDonagh, it has to be Hall, who is established. No way I'm trading McDonagh for potential. Because if potential isn't reached it would be one of the worst trades in history.

Not going over the last 6 pages of comments I missed since being away for 3 hrs. Saw Howie Rose is leaving the Islander broadcasts, will just focus on Mets now, said he wants an offseason too.

that Phil jackson thing was apparently false. It wasn't a fake tweet, just that the LA reporter reporting it was just wrong

McDonagh Is always hurt and we play fine without him. Not saying we don't need him in any stretch here but sometimes trading a great player for depth makes the team better. Gaborik for what we got helped us. Nash for what we paid helped Columbus. With that trade we get younger and replenish the depth. Our 3 centers would be Stepan Draisitl Hayes, all under 26 going into the 2016-2017 season. Look how many teams do well without a top 1-6 d. Shift the focus on this team to offense first. Trade Brassard for possibly Shattenkirk and I think this team is considerably better.

Right look at the Oilers.

What are you doing? He's always injured and we'd be fine without him.

What are you smoking man, teams always go deep in the playoffs without good defensemen, like the Blackhawks, Kings, Lightning, etc. Not one legit top dman in the bunch.

Hasn't played a full season since 2011. Injuries happen sure, he's had some bad luck blocking shots/getting sucker punched but those injuries catch up eventually and I think his shoulder will always be a concern going forward.
Shattenkirk Klein Skeji Staal McIlrath X is hardly the Oilers D.

I love everyone just assumes Shattenkirk is coming here cause he was a Ranger fan growing up. I don't think St. Louis is getting rid of him, unless its for a good solid return.

Brassard. And he's a UFA next year so people assume the Blues will want to get something for him.

Ok were done here. Klein declined dramatically as last year ended. Mcilrath getting better, but has issues. Marc Staal, c'mon. Man aged 10 years over night. Shattenkirk isn't ours. Skjei's career is 12 games young.
