I think he could still fetch an early 2nd round pick. Quite a drop from a former number 1 overall, but I still think he would get them something.

Ryan Murrary hasn't lived up to his hype either though. The best Player in that draft might be Filip Forsverg. The best D-man is a toss up between Lindholm and Rielly.

We know that now, but the stories are at the time of the draft the Edmonton scouts wanted Murray, and while he hasn't lived up to the hype he is a valid NHL defenseman. This was his first full season with no freak injuries and he looked pretty good, and he's only 23.

I think so. Columbus has put a lot of pieces together. With Jones, Murray and Werenski there if Bobrovsky finds his form again they are going to be a female dog to play against.

Oilers could have had Murray, Rielly or Lindholm in round 1, they took Yak.

Could have had Severson in the 2nd. They took Moroz.

Could have had Gostisbehere or Parayko in round 3. They took Korpisalo.

Decent NHL D options in each of the first 3 rounds and they grabbed two forwards and a goalie.

Yup. I would take that 4th and see what teams can lose a defenceman, or a defenceman that another team wont be able to afford in a few years.
