I just think the return isn't going to be nearly what we lose at the time, unless they retain a bunch of salary. If its picks, prospects etc, i'm fine with that but it wont pay dividends for a few years.
Biggest question is do they do a mini rebuild right now, and take the chance Hank really declines once the mini rebuild is over, or just keep patching holes and stay competitive while Hank is still playing well. - mdw7413
This team is at a crossroads right now. I think ultimately there won't be too many changes. We might see one or two core players get dealt or bought out and a lot of the bottom 6 guys replaces with younger players. Other than that, I'd expect more of the same. |

Yeah, I pretty much agree, as long as Hank is here and still playing well, its what they have to do. |

I agree - there really isn't much they can do with the team they have right now due to contract situations. |

Id keep Nash till the TD unless something blows you away. That said I still think buying out Girardi is a must. I know were gunna have the same f'ing argument as the other day but losing Girardi is NOT taking this team to a rebuild |

Looks like the Daily news is saying the Rangers should go after Tyson Barrie - rangers425

The daily news is saying he is available via trade and they are saying the rangers could possibly trade Kreider or Nash for him - I'm just telling you what they are saying - I don't know if this would be a good move to be honest - I don't know much about Tyson Barrie |

Tyson Barrie would be a fantastic pickup, finally a right handed defensemen who could run this PP |

who knows - maybe pat leonard wrote this while he was high, i don't know - unless they would be trading for his rights at the draft |

I don't necessarily agree with the theory that trading Nash automatically signals a rebuild.
They were great when he was out of lineup last year |

Only 1 year left on that great bridge-deal tho...
Probably gonna cost +/- 7M per then.
And what would it cost to sign him now? |

Trading Henrik (even tho he wouldn't accept) would signal a rebuild
I don't get the fear in changing the complexion of this team a bit. |
