That one is going to sting, because you know the Canes are getting to get one quality NHL player with one of those picks.

I have no idea. Granted I didn't see E Staal play nearly as much as they did, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

Also I think it was just a horrible misreading of where this team was at. Last year I would have been thrilled to get Staal, this year I just saw it as a waste.

There was heavy drinking and cig-a-weed before those games.

And I'll say it was a good idea at the time because the Rangers were "going for it." My bad on that thought.

So, which deal/ trade was the worse; Cally, Dan Boyle, Yandle, Cam, Hags, EStaal?

I am sure I could get this deal to work in EA's NHL 16:

Kevin Hays + Marc Staal >>> Edmonton for Yakapov + 3rd rounder. Maybe a 2nd if Rangers eat part of Staal's salary for this season.

I loved manipulating the trade system in those games.

He looked like that in Carolina too, but the narrative was getting him to a playoff team would rejuvenate him. Yeah, not so much.

If it was just for a few prospects, then I would have gone for it, too. That 2nd rounder threw that deal way off.

Cally was a great trade IMO....got them to the SCF and the conference finals in back to back years

5.8 cap hit for a 4th liner for the next 4 years. That is all

Tie for first.

Yeah Call was added in along with 2 first picks for MSL, but without MSL they don't go the SCF.

Yandle helped them last year and this year. But failed to live up to Tanner's hype

Hagelin is a byproduct of depth and stupid luck. Look what he did in Anaheim. With the Ducks Hags got a few games with Getzlaf and Perry and stunk.

Cam Tablot byproduct of a superior team.

It kinda worked for both teams

Tampa, although grossly overpaying a third liner, are prime to make back to back finals and acquired high end assets for a 38 year old that didn't want to play for the team anymore.

For the Rangers, although it was at a high price, without St. Louis, there is no finals run.

Would you rather live life without your left hand or your right hand. That's basically what you just asked. Both options are terrible.
