They don't want a forward, they want good D, I could see Klein plus a pick or prospect but I wouldn't trade Klein, just opens another hole - KreiderBomb
I want no part of Barrie .. But I have zero say in it |

U want no part of a 24 year old whose last 2 seasons put up 49 and 53 points? U must want Dan Boyle back. i don't want him at the expense of Miller/Kreider/Hayes but you have to at least listen if he's being shopped. If we could grab Barrie and then trade for Shattenkirk given its his last year until he's a UFA the right side is young and solid. Shattenkirk/Barrie/McIlrath paired with McD/Skeji/Staal. |

Barrie will cost more than anyone would be willing to give up. |

Whoa...slow down there. Where are these guys coming from and for what cost (trade and cap hit)?
If I am going to have more than one new face on D, then I would take a serious look at this Jensen kid who is lighting it up in the Worlds. Let's get more of our own in the lineup and bring back some identity to the team without a rebuild overhaul.

I know everyone is getting excited about Jensen and hopefully he has a good training camp and makes the team
but, he is a guy who could be in the same position Etem was last season.
A borderline AHL/NHL guy that has to pass through waivers to be sent down
so, if he makes the team, hopefully it's as a definite 3rd liner and not as the 13th forward. He isn't a guy AV likes on the 4th line, I think Hrivik is a guy with a great shot at the 4th line. |

I see a lot of tippey toeying around the teams needs and future....
U have to give up good talent to get back what u need ...
1 center from (1 a 1 b ) Nash Kreids (1 of 3 D Men) 4 main pieces sold off
along with the Moore, Boyle ,Staal UFA status
what do u get back for that is the key
cap flexibilty to sign F A's
getting back in 2 for 1 type trades targeting 1 top 1fwd or 1 top Dman in return
If u think there will be a new ground swell from the group who almost got a cup
that ship has sailed ..... wont find it w/Step & Brass as 1 -2
My Stamkos plan is sound after that ist a crap shot w/McGinn or any other deal
the linch pin of our next season is Stamkos in NYC
we need a true star who can @ 26-27 go 3-4 yrs as its lead dog....
if you see how this lg is run you will grab onto a true top 5 center @ right age and wear & tear and build it around him.....
IMO we will be entertaining but not serious ... everyone is speed& quick now
Pitt plugs in like Rust or Steary with Crosby ..just speed & quick minor leaguers till now ..running with top talent ...perfect comp parts ....
need the super star to pull it off ...
Stamkos is real deal .....best option moving fwd or u dont want to win now
not winning as presently built
Kreids i have learned is a complete dog who thinks the game before he plays it
never gonna go like Toews or other committed to winning to do anything they can players .... not gonna get tough & take ,only gonna play with what falls his way .... teammates know this and pull back competitively.......L G R
summoned wiith star boy.......

Because I don't want a soft d-man I must want Boyle back ? I've watched the Barrie kid since his JR days and don't look at just points . Most on here female dog about how soft the ranger D is in front of the net , Barrie makes them softer . Barrie is below average in his own end . Have you watched him play besides the two times the Rangers play him a year ? |

We know you love players that are close to your own age.. Boyle lover.
I bet your UFA list includes Elias, Doan & Cullen. |

Was against the Staal and the Yandle trade .. Maybe just maybe if they didn't trade most of their pick and a few prospects the Rangers wouldn't have to look to other teams to fill in its holes .... Thanks for bring up my age , now I'll go thru the day thinking I'm old |

My hope is they force AV's hand a bit on playing/trusting young guys more this year. I wanna see as many young guys on the roster as possible this year. time to use some cheap contracts and let some guys grow and see what we got. |

Maybe shed Arniel and rehire Tom Renney as assistant coach. Renney was great at developing the young players. |
