I think it is safe to say our defense is having trouble not buying Tampa's offense fakes. |

Same thing that happened on the Stralman goal. Lovejoy and cullen were at the top of the circle before the Lightning had passed the red line.
Murray really struggling again... saw Sullivan tell Fleury to "be ready to go" as they came out for the second. |

Faster game screwing with Murray? Or coming back to earth... |

Crosby needs someone to play with who isnt afraid of the puck! They should try Pouliot on his wing. |

Is Sully's flaw going to be his love the the AHL ers? They look very much like AHL players right now. - Thorny87
I've been wondering that myself, especially since Sheary led all forwards in ice time in Game 6 of the caps series. Regardless of how poorly Sid & Geno have been playing there is no scenario where Connor Sheary should be leading the forwards in ice time.

Schultz is looking great considering the limited game time he has had lately. He has been in the mix offensively on a bunch of plays already. He is going to put one in.
Crosby and Malkin looking great today but pucks just arent going in... yet. |

It's not just that murray has given up more goals. It just doesn't look like he's moving as well as he did in the prior two series. I'm not against playing fleury in this series. Stylistically he may be better fit for Tampa too. |

only thing i want more from malkin is more shooting instead of driving behind the net every time. |

Save for the final 5 min of first period, Pens have looked very good IMO |

that really wasnt a bad period from them.

I always poop on Fehr, so I feel I need to give him some love. Best he's looked in a while. Looks like the player I expected coming in. |

Good job by the boys stepping their game up in front of a shaky Murry that period and Murray rewards them with a huge save at the end of the period. |

Started this season off an injury... then got hurt again... Consider him a bit like Maatta in not looking up to snuff this season by that logic.
Except, he was to be a mid 6 or bottom 6 player... not a top pairing Dman. |

I wonder if this whole Fleury not playing thing is starting to get to Crosby and Malkin. I know im far reaching here, but the connection between Crosby and Fleury especially, is a dynamic worth mentioning. |

Playing against easier competition will do that. I've never seen a guy after making a move like that choose to go backhand. Especially in close |
