The video I watched it doesn't appear to go over the glove.

Scroll through the comments. Someone posts a picture of it from a different angle and much more clear. The angle from the video made it look like it went through. Looks like it clipped the outside edge of his glove.

How do I know that's from that game or the first game?

Yeah, that angle was kind of weird. It would be easier to tell if it wasn't done in slow motion to see the glove edge flap, puck knuckle.

Here is a little something you can wear anywhere in Tampa Arena.

While funny, that dress code made me lose respect for Tampa Bay. How about, instead of having a dress code, you build a fanbase over 23 years of existence so that your actually have an overwhelming majority of home fans?

It seems like the shutter speed on the video is pretty slow so you see the puck move a few inches from image to image. At the exact moment when you need to see the puck going through the glove the puck disappears. Does the puck disappear because of the slow shutter speed or does it disappear because it goes through the glove. I can't say definitively. I just find it hard to believe it went through the glove. It was by no means a hard shot.

Ok. Back to poopting on Murray for two soft goals then.

Kidding aside, our goalie situation right now isn't great from a coaching standpoint. Murray has come back down to earth (which is still an above average goalie in a lot of respects) and I'm no longer convinced that a rusty MAF will be worse than the version of Murray that is currently in net. An on point MAF, which he'll hopefully turn into if he were to start playing, is certainly better than the version of Murray that is currently in the net. The thing is that playing MAF after a two month lay over is super risky. The rust might be too much to shake. And you can't just make a goalie change after wins where three goals or less were allowed. It sends the wrong message. But if Murray's heading towards sticker, making a goalie change after the egg has already been laid might be too late to salvage a series this late in the game when intensities on both sides are running sky high.

I don't think it's a conspiracy. I just think the video from a cell phone is not going to be very good.

I'll say it again, Murray's glove hand is worrying. He was dropping shots all night long.

Remember they are trading flower at draft so they don't want him getting injured or looking bad... Murray is the goalie of the future. People have to realize that. They can stock up wbs and picks by trading him.

If they play fluery and pens lose, fluery looks bad and value goes down

They play Murray and he loses, fluery still looks good and value is high, the org just looks like idiots bc people think they didn't play their starter..

Anyone know if the Pens formed a Black Aces group from WBS players?

If yes, who was brought up?

The mood on this board seems a bit surly considering we won last night.

I don't think they have (only been 36 hours since Game 7) but I would assume that Sprong, Erixon, and maybe Jeffrey will be added.

Not to respark this debate, but trading MAF this offseason isn't a foregone conclusion

Why are you so worried about what happens in the off season? Every post is about trades and drafts and picks... why not wait until after the playoffs?

I don't think the "stock value" of MAF is even remotely a consideration in Sully's thought process.

Man, lots of poopting on Murray after last nights game. Did he have a great game? No. Did he have a terrible game? No. I personally don't think the first goal was that soft. I had more issue with the 2nd goal, but still 1 soft goal doesn't mean he was terrible and should be pulled. Yeah, he fought the puck most of the night, but who cares, he still made the stops and that is his primary objective.

Murray and Fleury have each played Tampa Bay twice this year.

Murray has given up 5 goals in 41 shots against
Fleury has given up 9 goals in 39 shots against

The Murray haters need to chill out. Acting like Fleury is the best goalie in the league and it is blasphemous to play Murray. You all seriously sound like you hope the Pens lose if we continue to start Murray.
