I'm not arguing that he gave up 2 goals but like I said you're kidding yourself if you don't think fleury gives up bad goals. can't deal in hypotheticals the facts are he stopped the rest of the shots he faced and we won. Im not opposed to going to fleury at some point but after 1 period in a tie game wasn't the right time. Saying a 21 year old who has played like 20-30 nhl games has shown his ceiling is a reach. Having 2 capable goalies is a good problem to have.

He's just trying to get a rise. Murray will continue to develop and I still have every confidence in him but he has definitely started to cool down. I don't think Sully can will make the switch after a game he only gave up two goals in and won. Not sure he should either because that sends an odd message. I'm just worried that Murray is headed towards a big stinker, and this far into a game it would really suck if we dropped a game we should have won due to goaltending.

Good win especially after giving 2 goals up in less than 3 minutes!

Love the roller coaster ride that is the HB Pens thread!

My man Muzza gave but also took & in the end we win - good enough for moi at the moment. Every player has his bad days, & if a win is the result of 1 of Muzzas bad days then sign me up!

I'm sure last thread I saw 'someone' (cough cough cough), say he thought Culldog was due (said it in an Australian accent ).

Sounds like the lines were put through a blender & if that's what it takes so be it. Plug it in, add water & rip the guts out of the lines & mix a cocktail that kills lightning!

Can't wait for them to get back that home ice advantage!!

Let's goooooo Peeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnssssssssssssss!!!

Eh I wasn't looking for an argument. Was just yanking your chain. I wasn't totally right either. I didn't think Sullivan would keep lines fluid like he did because that can sometimes keep guys from getting going, but boy did it work. Give all the stars a "home base" line that they take the majority of their shifts with and then plug them in with each other on the odd shifts. I loved it.

I think sullivan would rather lose with murray than win with flower.

Obvioulsy its important they got the win last night but what I think is equally important is how they acheived it. That was pretty dominating perfermance by the Pens. They controlled the play for very long portions last night. Props to Vasilevskiy he really kept them in it last night. The Pens need to realize what they did last night and keep it going. They are totally capable of being the better team and I hope last night made them realize that.

Thats the only possible conclusion one can come too while Fleury is on the bench. We are winning in sspite of murray.

He's a quality goalie and he's just as hyped or more than Murray. I think he's capable of staying strong. There's reports of Bishop returning soon.... I dont see it happening but I've been wrong before.

Not trying to get a rise. My original response was to grinder who said Murray has reached his ceiling

Yes. He is very, very good. Before this year, Vaselevskiy and Gibson were the next big thing. I think Murray has joined them in that eschelon now.
