Milbury and Roenick are horrible but Kathryn Tappen makes it all worth it. Did anyone see her smack Milbury down during the NYI-FLA series. She is fantastic!

lovejoy and cole, both guys that i probably unfairly criticize too much, were both VERY big tonight.
- stayinthefnnet

Both probably saved goals tonight. Lovejoy straight up saved a goal, and Cole got a stick on a really good look by I think Kucherov.

Completely unrelated, but she's married to WBS assistant coach Jay Leach.

cole was even making some controlled, offensive plays.

your ND boys had some shining spots tonight.

His pass to Kunitz was very nice in the third.

Just got back from the game. So happy to see Sid rip that monkey off his back. Great dominant performance for the most part from the Pens.

Also nice to see Sully bench Sheary. Poor kid is a mess out there and was hurting waaaay more than helping.

Maatta is def hurt. He can't move. I'm by no means a Lovejoy fan, but he was good tonight.
- tpcg402

Let me preface this by saying I'm a Maatta fan. That said, from what I've seen, he doesn't give you a better chance to win over Schultz. Ollie is slow and has been beaten far too many times for my liking. Lovejoy has been fine.

If Crosby plays like he did for the second half of this game the rest of the way out we're in for a hell of a ride. I love, love, LOVE how Sully showed a willingness to rotate peronnel in order to get his stars the looks they needed with the linemates they needed. It's unorthodox but I think that's how we're gonna have to do it from here on out to keep Sid and Geno going.

He needs a full healthy offseason to get his first step back. I'm looking for a big bounce back season next year, but quite honestly he shouldn't play the rest of the way out.

Two games in a row where Sheary was plain awful. Making poor decision after poor decision.

Tampa is so active with their sticks and Sheary hasn't handled it well at all. Frankly, Tampa is constantly got their sticks all over the Penguins and it's not going to be called in the playoffs. Reminds me of the Red Wings with the subtle interference. People wonder why Sid is having trouble breaking out. It's because he's always fighting through the stick work.

yeah. i still maintain that while its not always the greatest approach, he could have a few more assists if people finished and then people arent talking about him ghosting nearly as bad.

but yeah. thats not bulldog sid, which needs to come out. it did in the third and overtime tonight. crosby getting it on net only increases the chances for horny potting garbage too.

It's time for Fleury. Murray's record is overshadowing the fact that his angles, rebound control, and pad play have diminished. I have no problem with him being the future tendy, but I think the thought that Fleury would be rusty at this point is ridiculous. If Vaselevsky can relieve Bishop the way he has after not playing since April 9th, I think Fleury can do the same or better. Murray is supposed to be a more conservative goalie that makes the saves you expect, and goals like that Drouin goal have occurred way too often since game 1 of the Caps series. Just because Murray is winning doesn't mean he is currently giving you the best chance to win. I also think it may be time to consider inserting Bennett into the lineup. The argument is against it is obvious, but we're in need of top six caliber wingers to get/keep the Sid and Geno show going. He's an obvious option in my opinion if you want to keep HBK together (which they should). Sit Sheary for Bennett (if he's healthy - who knows).

thank god I threw a tantrum against the team especially sid. everytime I do the team seems to totally change. I love it
personally I think matt murray is cooling down and I wonder how many more chances he gets before he gets pulled. I hope I am wrong and he goes back to the way he was during the caps series and plays like a god.

Took a look at that first tampa goal. Murray should really have had that. he moved over extremly slow and his reaction with the glove was like a 100 year olds reactions...

Flower makes big saves bc he is out of position and has to stretch back to make it...

If it's me.. I'm trading DP for drouin lol

This is dumb know nothing logic. Fluery can track the puck and move side to side extremely fast. Thats why he makes big saves. Murray has already shown his ceiling.

If his ceiling is winning playoff series I'll take it. I don't understand all the hate for a kid who's been solid. Yes he's given up soft goals but you're keep doing yourself if you don't think fleury does as well. Fact is he gives us a chance to win I'm not saying fleury wouldn't but you're acting like Murray stinks

these last 2 games murray HAS sucked. especially this game. I wouldn't call 19 saves and 2 allowed goals good in any way. that is quite horrible honestly and if the defense didn't tighten it's game up we would have lost big time yesterday.

I know now why you probably flip burgers for a living instead of being a coach in any sport

You have a bad memory MAF has given up plenty of sawft goals in the playoffs in his career. And he is not the greatest handler of the puck, it is amazing that Murray keeps on winning and you people are just not happy. Unless you boy MAF gets in you will be complaining til the cows come home. Quite frankly I like the winning instead of losing by a goal

I'm not arguing that he gave up 2 goals but like I said you're kidding yourself if you don't think fleury gives up bad goals. can't deal in hypotheticals the facts are he stopped the rest of the shots he faced and we won. Im not opposed to going to fleury at some point but after 1 period in a tie game wasn't the right time. Saying a 21 year old who has played like 20-30 nhl games has shown his ceiling is a reach. Having 2 capable goalies is a good problem to have.
