Just to get an idea of how silly it'd be to draft a guy 1st because of one tournament think about this for a moment. McDavid has 0 goals and 6 assists compared to Laine's 6 goals and 4 assists.

I think they do. I think they know exactly what they need and who they'll take. Matthews is everything Babcock Lou and Shanny want. Laine is only most of those things.

Leafs should use Pittsburg pick and take Hart and leave him to develop properly and you have your future goalie as what we have now is not taking you forward. Trading for a number one right now will be very difficult and may cost you more than you want or need to pay. Hart looks to be as good or better than Murray so he could be ready in 2 years time.

The Americans have one solid group of players, after you get past their first tier of players, the talent level certainly drops off fast. Matthews had moments in the game, but Greiss was hot.

Don't they have 2 seconds? I completely agree with you pink. With the amount of picks there's so many options with moving up/player trades that if they really wanted a goalie to be anointed now or in the future that this situation makes it easier

He played very well. At one point the shots on goal were 29 - 12 ( USA ) and they were losing 2 - 1.

If the league made all players ufas magically, which 3 forwards in the league would you take on the Leafs if you can pick any forwards?
