guy owns a restaurant and probably has had a few detroit guys dine there in the past. because of this he decides he's a scout and comes in here with some rumours.

he gives out a ton of info about himself when he gets called out and gullsy here uses said info in google and finds out the name of his wife and asks him how she's doing.

that's about it really.

Actually, no. He wasn't telling the truth. You don't act the way he did from someone mentioning the mother of a junior hockey player's name. He was obviously backed into a corner and started to act defensively. All the "information" about himself that he said was easily accessible by anyone. the guy willingly gave all the info needed to easily figure out who he was. he listed the name of his restaurant and who drafted his kid and everything. there's only one of those restaurants in ontario and the owners name is readily available if you google it. if he wanted complete privacy why on earth would he do that?

In fairness Gull, he never once said he was a scout. That was all assumption. He said he traveled with and/or worked part time for an NHL team for 12 years after he sold his restaurant.

There's no connection to the junior player's dad and the Red Wings, or else in the article it would've mentioned "his dad, a former employee of the Red Wings..."


If you make a claim, like he was, you have to provide the evidence. His evidence is easily accessible information that we all of access to, with a single goole search. So until he either stops acting like he's an "insider with sources" and actually provides irrefutable evidence of who he is, it's safe to assume he's lying.
