This may not be the expected platform for the debate, but apathy is (to me anyway) the most dangerous thing that we face... the minute that people stop caring is the minute that the government is no longer accountable to the people.

You write political science the same was that Garth writes "hockey science". Sorry, but scouring the Internet for proof of your weirded out political conspiracies is not science.

I can sort of understand why some uneducated and unemployed American might be drawn to Trump telling them that Mexicans, Muslims and women are to blame for their problems. We certainly have lots of history that shows us how powerful fear coupled with racism can be as a political force. It's easier than sorting through the complicated financial and political issues that have dragged these poor bumholes down.

I find it much harder to understand how someone who is educated and in a better economic situation can support this guy unless it is to provide a way to validate their racist and misogynist views. Having listened to/read your rants over the years I have a pretty good idea why you find the guy appealing.

Only if Matthews is another Yakupov, NuHop or Hall. In the case of the Oil they got it wrong 3 out of 4 times and a better player (s) was behind the first pick. Not sure why everyone goes so paranoid anytime it is mentioned that Laine is likely to become a very special player and a huge goal scorer. The Leafs have the right to take the best player. I don't understand the immediate reaction not to want to discuss or make comparisons.
