Toews has gone AWOL for an entire series more than once during cup runs and nobody questioned it. Since his teams have been so stacked they've managed to still win when he has done that. A guy like Thornton does that in his prime and that's it, game over. Nobody else could carry the load so they're out. One guy is the best leader of a generation and the other is a choker. Interesting.

also, it might have been nicer than i remember, i just remember that you were shooting at an empty net.

The goaltending in that league was pretty good actually. I was 3rd leading scorer. .....until that play when I got hurt.

Yeah the net was empty cuz the goalie dove at me. I side stepped him snd backhanded it in while simultaneously planting my leg and tearing my ACL.......one game before the playoffs.
