Lol. They aren't even making teams use their challenge to call off goals from Blues anymore. They just do it from muscle memory.

Anyone else getting annoyed with the announcers? they were talking about how both the blues goals came off turnovers, but failed to mention how the sharks goal was off a turnover too, instead its just OMG PAVELSKI TIP IN *drool*

If one ref overruled the call made by his partner in order to get the call right on a regular basis, great. The norm lately seems to be let a coach challenge and get more info when two guys saw different things. Not to have the back guy over rule the guy responsible for making a call.

This is the match up I worry most about. Good to get the win tonight, but we saw SJ carry much of the play and not convert on their chances.

The difference in this series will be defense and goaltending.

Thornton couldn't rock out with the puck out of his pants...

I've been unsuccessfully trying to tune them out. Just spewing nonsense to fill air time.

I find myself yelling "Shut up, Micheletti!" At least once a period.

They have been there since at least the second round. The first round it was worst because the girls were younger and hotter and there were two sets.

You are kind. I say piece of €£¥€. There is a reason you do not broadcast games. Forget you played for the Blues? Worthless. And much much worse.

I got to get the games sooner so I can set up the Kerber/Chaser feed and mute the television.

I am not so sure. There are aspects of that play that are highly debatable. But I was not too upset with it. Might have got away with one on the Backes goal.

The quick whistle that Ward was whining about I was wondering why there was not an unsportsman call there. Plenty of time and Ward sprays Elliott in the face and might have been why the puck came loose.

Sharks are full of that brand of cheapness. The beard grab on Thorton Steen comes in to go on the bench and Thorton goes right for the junk. I think Thorton needs to tagged for sexual harrassment for his love of putting his stick in people's junk.

No problem with any of the calls really but if you are going to call that slash on Ott you have to call the guy who was holding his stick, the myriad of interference plays, the hooking and other slashes.

I did have a problem with the Couture play though. That was a purposeful knee. That should have been a five minute. I really cannot stand those plays especially since it was not just the sticking your leg out but he drove he his knee into Fabbri.

you can get the kmox feed through an app. That is what I have been trying to do especially when the homer Eddie O was broadcasting games. Besides Kerbs and Chaser are top notch announcers.

The Blues typically did not show up until the third and decide to play.

Honestly if the Blues decide to play hard and smart San Jose cannot deal with them.

As I said before their young goaltender is okay and young and well he gave up a meatball.

The Blues need to adjust, simplify the game instead of trying to force the pretty pass when their defenders go down and everyone looks to play the pass toe drag and fire the puck. Or pass it off the pad. Jones is not that good. He could become good but his defense does allow a lot of high quality chances that go east west at all.

I am not worried. If that is all San Jose can bring in the third of a one goal game against a team that reallynplayed its best on the special teams and took two periods to show up....

A lot of bad gap play wher there was good backchecking and the dmen backing up giving the time and space away instead of making the Sharks earn it. Then either JayBo or Peteo become a screen for a shot.

Really? They've been one of the best teams in the league for several years.
You're satisfied just reaching the conference finals?
C'mon man, you're halfway to the promised land

It would be great for them to win it all. But getting this far is really good. They beat two of the best teams in the league.

And well I just want to enjoy the moment and not feel disappointed if they happen to lose which I really do not think they will. I am just proud of them. Right now I have watched nearly as much play off hockey with them in games than the past three years. So yeah I am happy.

Also, the skate does the tripping..i thought like you seeing it live but the replay shows that I don't think there was knee contact

Long live the note!

I swear Kerbs said something about a "rally rack" during the third.

Snow didn't cause it, but that is still an unsportsman like penalty. doing that to goalie is cheap and should be called.

i still see a knee going at Fabulous Fabbri. He might have caught him with his skate but man that was dirty. I watch the follow through.

But hard to tell. Got to slow it down. Still hard to tell without being on the ice or bench really.

Everytime I had seen the Elliott replay before it did not seem to happen that fast at all. Might just be an angle thing.

I was in KC for a few days doing some brewery hopping and glad to come back after two blues wins

Sounds like they didn't play very well last night and still won

Long way to go

I thought they played well. But so did the bad guys.

Blues had a number of chances early they couldn't cash in on. San Jose carried the play in the second by a wide margin but the Blues had the only goal.

Third period was solid Blues hockey. Good way to start the series, winning on home ice.

San Jose has to feel if they play the same way they played last night that they'll be alright as well.

Going to be a tough series for both teams I think

Good to get one on home ice early though

What the heck was going on with the linesman(men) and face offs last night??????

Is it an exaggeration to say that a third of the face offs were done twice???

I know I counted three times in which the face off looked fine, and the Blues won the draw CLEAN, only to have the chucklehead linesman blow it down.

Were they competing for face time? Good golly, drop the puck and get out of the way!!

I was female dogging about this at the game loudly....Seemed like it was Lehtera a lot with a clean win and then getting tossed. Wishing Korac or JR or someone would have asked about it but I doubt they will.

What expect the media to do their jobs?????????

They do a pretty ok job for the most part. They don't ask tough questions.

Did you check out the Blue Line downtown? By far the best place in KC to catch a blues game.

The teams control the tough question part unfortunately...some more than others (see the Hawks).

Lou and JR are better than a lot of cities but the media can easily get blackballed by the teams if they ask tough questions.
