Almost as good as signing Stamkos and ericson as well as trading bo and edler for Hedman......

Bang the cup is ours... or at least my hangover tomorrow is mine.

Pronmans full top 100 prospects list...also, there is link for Lefty included (Bautista getting drilled).

http://abcnews.go.com/Spo...l-draft/story?id=39091742

- CanuckDon

That list looks like a random order.
Joeys bats was also purposely drilled to get on base. I'd be going into second the same way if I was purposely thrown at.

Another eastern perspective on the rankings. How many times has this NY "scout" seen Jost & Fabbro play for example. Essentially he's just taking Buttons draft and mixing it up slightly. It's a guessing game after #3.

I am not sure what causes the difference in some people over the rest. Basically one persons opinion over the others. ISS and Bob are usually what I use and then my own opinion.

It seems as some at this time of the year rank prospects higher because of the U-18 tournament or a playoff performance. That's not right to me. It's a season long process scouts have been watching these players.

Very well articulated Zogg, I'm still in amazement that Lucic is a desirable piece for this team, what Lefty sees in him is strange...undisciplined, has anger control issues, and I can list a whole list of concerns that I have. If LA wants to resign please JB for the sake of the canucks let them.

Tell you what I'd rather Marchand over Lucic any day, and that's saying something about my thoughts on Lucic

- Makita

Bottom line is love him or hate him we need what Lucic brings. He is a punishing hitter and presence and a consistent 50+ point guy. I spoke to Duncan Keith once and he said the ONLY guy that hits and it hurts every time is Lucic. If we could get a comparable guy for cheaper sure I guess but if Lucic will be reasonable on his contract Benning would be stupid not to look at him.

I always wonder after the first round how they decide on picks.

Fiancee makes scrambled eggs this morning. Look at the pan, half the egg is stuck to the pan still.
"did you use pam or butter to grease the pan?"
"no, it's none stick"

some of these little lessons are best learned when you are younger, when you get older and have more on your plate and running through your head, you can have a few more of those moments, operating a bit on autopilot.

I have the coffee beans, grinder and container for grounds. one morning I was still half asleep, realized the container was empty and started pouring the beans right into the container, instead of the grinder before I clued in...

She's only 23. .
Lol you clearly need something to wake up before your morning coffee. I don't really have that problem, I hear about 5 seconds of my alarm and i'm flying around the house.

tried to do some googling to find out if there are any Europeans left that would be any good to bring over from europe. I don't know if Van tried to sign any of them but most of the "good" ones seems to have signed for other teams.

Do anyone know of any Van could still be interested in? I wonder what it would take to get Vladimir Sobotka from STL.

I was going to give you one of my wifey stories, growing up with maids, drivers and cooks, not knowing half the domestic chores, never having to think about them until moving to Canada, but thought of one of my own moments.

I stay up late sometimes. If I set the alarm, I'm up when it goes off, but still need coffee. I have had 1040 set as the alarm and listen for a moment and then fall back asleep...

This is a good strategy and similar to how JB acquired Larssen from Edmonton, property of an NHL team but playing in europe.

I drone on about Pedan when people mention dmen. He will require waivers to be sent down next season. The club has to decide whether they will let him play and develop with the Canucks or trade him. I think another team will be willing to play him and pluck him off waivers, if given the chance.

This strategy by JB, trading picks for players that haven't been able to crack another team's club, or isn't playing with them for other reasons, is risky. Paid off with Baertschi, still unsure about Granlund, Vey and Larssen.

As a team in transition, that supposedly wants to make the playoffs, how many unproven/fringe guys can you have in the lineup? How many times can you lose a player like FC on waivers?

I think Sobotka would be ahead of Biega and Pedan but what do you do with them?

That would be kind of nice to have "help" around the house but I would get bored. House work is probably half the hours in the week that keeps me occupied.

We've gone through numerous non-stick pans because my wife keeps putting them in the dishwasher. Watching my wife struggle through domestic tasks has given me a whole new appreciation for my own mother. She managed our house like a finely tuned machine.

He has Jost and Fabbro ranked higher than most sites rankings at 9 & 10 before Chychrun, Brown, Sergachyov.... I don't see how that could be eastern bias?

Sobotka is a Center.

Probably be a 3rd line center on Van. 28 years old, Stl doesn't really have cap space or room for him. Damn good on faceoffs, his last two years in STL he had a 60 and 56% win percentage. Probably would be a 30-40 point player at maximum.

I understand JB trading for players because he is trying to bridge the gap between the 30 plus and the 19-20 year old players.

I would consider giving up a 3rd or 4th rounder for him in 2017.

I don't have a lot of faith in Biega or Pedan either. Pedan is getting better but if Van could i'd like to see him sent down to Utica before waivers take affect and play top pairing minutes in the AHL and play them well before he gets a shot at the club.
