Very well articulated Zogg, I'm still in amazement that Lucic is a desirable piece for this team, what Lefty sees in him is strange...undisciplined, has anger control issues, and I can list a whole list of concerns that I have. If LA wants to resign please JB for the sake of the canucks let them.
Tell you what I'd rather Marchand over Lucic any day, and that's saying something about my thoughts on Lucic - Makita
You seem to suggest that's a bad thing? You draw a line in the sand, the Canucks have been lacking any real (don't F with me) persona since we showed KB3 the door. I really don't care who assumes the role but it's time to get that junk yard dog back into the core! |

Exactly. Dorsett is nowhere close to the solution, he's begging for help. |

Right?
I will maintain my wish for Lucic until he signs elsewhere
I think him and JV on a line could cause some major chaos for other teams. |

Add Columbus 2nd aswell - phyllee
I think that's too much personally.
So, Tkatchuk, McCann, Sbisa and a 2nd for Barrie and Sergachev?
I'm gonna pass on that. |

I think Barries worth it, and if we got the tenth pick and Barrie i wouldnt draft a Dman at 10. Id draft Tyson Jost, hes going to were Boeser is so its a step in the right direction for chemistry. Plus id hope for Benning to somehow trade for a second first round pick between 13-18 and get one of Bean or Fabbro. (Hansen plus?) |

San Jose vs Tampa final....teams so close I have no idea who'd win. But I'm hoping for San Jose, I guess. - LeftCoaster
Yes I can go along w that. Def think TB is in the final.
Mike sullivan looks to be the weakest of the remaining 4 coaches. Cooper should be topping him in the east match up.
west both teams looking strong. So winner plays TB for cup. |

I believe we'll see more of that in the coming season. As he approaches 25 we'll see more and more of this. Tryamkin will be a very important part of the team |

That's a lot to give up for a team rebuilding on teh fly.
Tkatchuk
McCann
Sbisa
Hansen
(+?2nd rounder)
2nd rounder (CBJ)
for Barrie, Jost and Fabbro.
Tkatchuk and McCann > Jost and Fabbro
Sbisa, Hansen, 2nd, 2nd < Barrie |

Need another Fwd that can punish the opposition though (and someone to mentor/support JV)...hint rhymes with Dew Peach. |

But the columbus second was free. And after after all that id still think we come out ahead, rebuilding on the fly is true but getting Barrie is a big step in the right direction

Would really depend on the development of the prospects. |

Thats true, but i mean trade for a top 4 D, sign a defenceman (Demers) sign a forward bigger name forward Erikson/Lucic/Boedker (last case) and the team isnt at all as bad as some are making it out to be, and its not realistic to do this with all the cap space we have |

Sure, but the Canucks are competing against other teams in regards to signing UFAs. I highly doubt we are going to get 1 of the top fwds and 1 of the top D UFAs (eg Erickson and Demers), to say nothing of luring Stamkos or Yandle.
That's why i see Lucic and Hamhuis as more realistic options...less sexy, but realistic. |

Sorry man but i disagree, there's a major difference between being hard to play against and hard to play with. I'd rather the controlled, determined, don't (frank) with me or my team mates(which KB3 rarely if ever did) before having a lose cannon that is uncontrollable, taking stupid untimely penalties. Or losing a series and threatening the opposition during a hand shake, classless and I hope JB stays as far away as Vancouver is to LA. |

I have him as a top forward, wouldnt mind him can be tough and get goals, sure takes stupid penalties but for not getting pushed around id be for that. |

JV yes with proper mentoring on how not to be like Lucic, Lucic would cause major chaos for the canucks if he is signed. |

Looks to me like Bautista deserved that shot - not so much for the bat toss but he came in cleats up on that slide like he was trying to injure Odour.
Edit - OK maybe not cleats up but he definitely slid late and when through the base. - docmorgan
They threw at him, thus the reason he was on base...
Not sure how he could be at fault for making a hard slide. Part of the game. All former players are backing Bautista on Twitter.
@josecansevo: what a cheap shot by Odor..Bautista should break that punk in half. He should beat his ass prison style. Weak sucker punch. |
