Jan I could have used you as a grader in college too easy!

I think the staff deserves a D for the year.. too many head scratchers that seemed fairly obvious.. only argument you heard was how many games AV has won and you should just trust him.

Cant get rid of Hayes yet (I know I wanted him sat during the playoffs) but hes got too much potential along with being a cheap controlled player this team cant afford to give players like that away. would really like to see Stalberg back if the $$/term makes sense.

Have to be a center with a similar skill set he showed last year. I don't see it happening for the same price. Lindberg should center the 4th, take over Moore's spot. You move Hayes, you need a 3rd line center.

If he continues the sophomore struggles he could be a good deadline piece but for now gotta give him time with how cheap he is/potential

Yeah unfortunately he struggles like last year, not going to get much for him. He has the skill set, just needs to really apply it next year.

Love to get Stalberg back for the 4th line, for a cheap price.

One thing I should be clear on, is his future cost and not the current deal.

If we could pull off what Pittsburgh did, trading Sutter for Bonino, I'd be ok moving Hayes in a deal for more speed. I like his game, but AV doesn't seem to, so I'm saying this is what I think will happen, not what should happen.

Speaking of which, has AV ever actually done anything that fans argue that he should do? It just seems to me that whatever change is discussed (either here or with friends), AV seems to either not do it or do the opposite. Maybe I'm just selecting the points I disagree with. He he. Shocking that I'd do that.

Agreed. That would keep my good feelings towards Gorton if he can get that done.

Also, does anybody remember what Columbus' rumored asking price was for Atkinson? I would up watching the Blue Jackets a bunch of times this year and he always seemed to stand out when on the ice.

Not sure what the price was, but I believe we were talking about Lindberg & picks (?)

I'm sure he will be good to go next year. But man, hips and groin injuries always worry me, seems to be a reoccurring injury throughout their career.

Save whatever cap room you can find and go with a 4th line of hungry kids, I'd make it a camp battle between, Jensen, Hrvik, Gibbons , Fast and maybe a couple of invites like Stalberg

No way Fast goes down to the 4th line. Thats AV's boy.

I do like Fast's game, think he would be a good 3rd liner, and PK specialist though and nothing higher.

He's a perfect 4th liner, he doesn't do it for me in the top 9, people said he was supposed to replace Hags, I don't see it, if Hags isn't top 6 (which ironically he is now) then Fast isn't top 9

I would think he'll ask for closer to 2.5 this summer

How many more years is Nashville paying him from the buy-out? If that's all done, then, I agree...he is getting a good pay raise this season from some team.

$666,666 for this year, $1,666,666 for the 2 years following, I don't think he is going to get more than $1.5 from anyone, it's not like he was A+ this season

Anyone else want to see Jensen on the big club next season? Kid has a lot of offensive skill. Doing well in the World Championships.

Doing very well. Good size, great shot. Couple of months hard training and a great camp could earn him a spot. 3rd liner imo.
