I had to kill an hour downtown yesterday. Went into the Boston Pizza next to the CBC building.

Got talking to the guy sitting next to me - American working a trade show at the convention centre.

It was his third straight night at Boston Pizza. The only other place he had been was the Wahlbergers.

I have to eat there during my kids' hockey tournaments. There's a 20 page menu, and absolutely nothing appeals to me. It's all 2,000+ calorie plates of blandness.

Only reason I went there last night is it was across the street. Sat at the bar hoping to watch sports. Hit an absolute deadzone - last three minutes of the Vancouver Whitecaps game, then an hour special of the history of the WNBA with the sound off.

Just as they switched to the Jays coverage, my phone rang - time to go.

He claimed to be the father of an NHL eligible prospect. The peramaters that he set would conclude that he's talking about Anthony Salinitri. All I did was read an article that mentioned his parents by name. He over reacted.

He lied about being associated with an NHL team.
