I feel like they could trade down for Rubtsov too. The Russian doping scandal and his Russian contract may scare some teams from him. I believe he has a 3 year deal with his Russian club. - PhillySportsGuy
They all have those contracts. I don't really see an issue with it. He will come over when he is developed at 21 like a Kuzy. I think those fears of Russians are gone. As for his doping scandal, given that Team Russia doped up all their players and the drug was legal until January and it is believed to take months to leave the system...I think the only issue is he didn't show his stuff at the U18s. |

You can't just keep trading superstars like MCW and getting picks though. Eventually you need to assemble a team and use those picks. Hinkie had some weird psychosis where he had to just hoard picks. Wouldn't shock me to see him in rehab now and his "resignation" just a convenient cover. |

I don't have concerns about him. I just think there are GMs who would rather draft a guy who has the potential to come play within the next 1-2 years like Kunin.
Building a strong hockey team isn't rocket science if your ownership is willing to be patient. |

Kunin is a name floated for us. Idk what to think of him. Another I haven't seen. Supposedly he is probably more of a winger. He's a real heart and soul, meat and potatoes guy with a great shot. Not sure he's a high ceiling player, but I've never seen him. |

Would you trade former next Mic Richards, Scoot Laughton + 18 to get to 10? Maybe add a 3rd? |

YES!
Guarantee he counts calories down to 2 decimal places and perfectly proportions his food portions so nothing touches unless it is supposed to. |

I would. Colorado would so demand Morin + 18 though. |

No thanks on that one. I'd probably trade Morin straight up for #10 |

Yeah I wouldn't do the first one. Morin straight up? If it was for Keller...yeah. But Hamilton only got a #15 or something. It is unlikely. I'd love if Laughton and our first could be a center piece. But I'm not sure he is viewed highly enough. |

My man. Those are probably my top 4 favorite forwards we could draft/trade up for.
Here's a name I've been hearing a lot of good buzz about as a late first/early second riser: Jonathan Dahlen. If we can't trade up and consider trading down, he might be a name. - Mononoke
I love Dahlen. He's absurdly skilled, and is a smaller guy that goes hard to the paint. I hope Hexy is all over this guy. |

Whenever I watch him that's the guy he reminds me of. I know its a bit of a cliche, but they're about the same size, and Kunin is chippy, skates hard, and has a surprising amount of skill. Kunin might have better speed though. |

All of us who watch Tampa and see guys like Kucherov and Johnson just demolishing teams with finesse and speed and say, "I want"....Dahlen could be an answer. Trading back or probably up with the 2nds for him sounds amazing to me. |

What is his ceiling though? Do you see a high floor, middle ceiling guy...maybe a 20/25-20 all around guy?
Also, I know you love McAvoy. Different report I read sound all over the place on him, though he is good offensively. The negative ones seem to harp on defense and even hockey sense...I just don't know where to place him with the guys I've seen. Why are you so enamored? |

2 of my biggest pet peeves in baseball:
1) Putting in the closer in a non-save situation
2) Using a non-closer in a save situation unless your closer is absolutely burned out
