It's why I don't want to see him here. We're not near enough to be a playoff team and he would be a drain on the cap, for 7 years. He's injury prone and it'll be an issue, once Matthews hits stardom. Will Stamkos want to be a winger or a 2nd line centre? Is $10 million per year for a second line centre good cap management? Just keep the rebuild going on an even keel.....less chance of making mistakes with overpriced talent.

Price is a game changer. The issue is even when he plays they can't score. Stamkos would help with that. I'm not saying it would be an excellent move in the long run, but I can see MTL making a good pitch to capitalize on Price's prime.

Montreal has one of the if not the best goalie in the league to go with one of the better dmen little different situation then toronto. Stamkos gally is a nice top 2 centers. Add some other pieces and looks pretty good.
