Well you did ask what the leafs did after gionta deliberately took out reimer, so...... - burn
Wouldn't have minded a nice open ice hit that had him seeing stars. Or maybe a well orchestrated ride into the boards after which he may have needed a rest for a while. Definitely not Ghandi.

There's water in coffee - Dozzer
There's also water in beer, but both will still dehydrate you |

Once this coffee kicks in the poop I'm going to take is going to be phenomenal
I should probably take the novel war and peace in there with me today. |

Don't want or need goons. Need backbone - size does help in this aspect. - winsix
Jay bouwmeester has size but hardly a physical player. Jot someone that is gonna be protecting teammates. Size isn't the only thing that is factor to getting grit/backbone. |

he's trying to change his stance and say we just need team toughness now. funny how before he wanted big bruisers, not he doesn't care about size |

Sure, and you'd need to be able to skate to catch him. |

Yeah if it had been real camping you'd have the cooler and ice in there with you, or beers outside in the river. |

Not to mention Babcock is more about puck recovery and bringing it back up ice as quickly as possible.
Skating in this system is more important than size and physicality.
And let's face it... A six foot 190-200lb guy can still be physical very effectively, you don't need to be 6'-4" / 230lbs to do that. |

Leafs need jay bouwmeester cause he big, that's all that matters. Big = nasty monster.

Rather get the puck out instead of playing in your own zone cause you can't exit the zone. Get guys that can do that, not more guys that stay in their own zone. |

Barrie would be an upgrade on Gardiner - the question is what would be the cost? It still does not address the requirement of size at the back end. The leafs have a team that does not have size either on defense or up front. Need to offer a safe environment
for the top Leaf players from teams that take liberties - like Flyers did with McDavid and Gianta did with Reimer and like the Bruins have been doing for years. - winsix
Trade 1st overall + for Buffalos 8th, should be enough to get Barrie |
