4th and Yak. Get Sakic on the phone. I'd rather have Johnson btw. He seems, imo, the better two way defender. Barrie is more offensively talented, but Johnson is the whole jumbo gumbo.
Edit: Plus Johnson is a right hand shot too. - EdmHockeyMan
I don't think they would have any interest in yak, they have zads, grigo, varly in Russians currently, want to sign Radulov. That's a ot of up and down talent, don't think they want to trade for another unstable Russian |

Only thing I can think of is money, avs and his agents are to the point that it looks unlikely a contract can be hammered out so they will get something for him when he's in high demand prior to expansion draft - DDM-Coga
That's understandable. |

Weber's performance could probably put down to fatigue. He was playing way too many minutes per night to remain effective. Especially against a team like the Sharks. - Wildschwein
Or, his Goals Against per 60 while on the ice is the exact same over his career as Jack (frank)ing Johnson. |

If you look at it in a different perspective, it would be a welcoming atmosphere for Yakupov. He would actually be able to relate with a fellow player from his home country. I feel like it would be a welcoming change for Yakupov and honestly, I feel like he deserves it, especially after the poop he has had to deal with (Eakins is a big one) while being on this team.
Even if he pans out to be an elite talent in Colorado or anywhere else (If he gets moved), I won't hold any grudges. I'm secretly rooting for him and I hope for the best for that kid. He just isn't on a straight path and imo, he just needs a bit of a little guidance, a little confidence. |

This is also part of the Gardiner effect that I explained before. By these standards Josi is a poop d-man as well and Ellis/Ekholm are much better defensively than Josi/Weber but I would argue this is more due to usage, QoC and zone starts. |

No, Josi is fine.
Weber is just not great, that's all. |

No mention of Drake Caggiula? So he had a pick of multiple teams to sign with and decided to pick a team that will send him to the minors? Doesn't make sense, he had of been promised a top 9 role or a legit shot to earn one.
Maybe no mention of him until someone gets traded? |

Good argument...
Josi and Weber both have similar GA/60. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Use your head. |

Taylor Hall or Eberle plus to Capitals for John Carlson? The Caps have depth on the blue line to be able to live with this deal, and either forward would be a good addition to the Capitals. Eberle may have broke Crosby and the Pens hearts, with his knack for big goals. And Taylor Hall playing out east should give people nightmares... |

It would have to be Hall to get it done.
Caps wouldn't bite on a deal around Ebs and Carlson. |

watch the game u (frank)ing nerd - BINGO!
I did. They both sucked last night (but Weber was worse).
But I'm not some egotistic/autistic fool who thinks that I have watched these players enough to give a valuable assessment based on the eye-test without being aided by the statistics.
And if you think you are then you are not only naive, but you are an ignorant fool.
Not to mention a hypocrite because you brought up his GA/60 as the reason he was bad in the first place... |

Don't think Barrie+the contract he'll want will be worth the assets it takes to get him. I'd go after Vatanen. |

I already wrote about him. He had his own article. He's not getting a chance on Edmonton's top line unless he destroys the preseason. |
