4th and Yak. Get Sakic on the phone. I'd rather have Johnson btw. He seems, imo, the better two way defender. Barrie is more offensively talented, but Johnson is the whole jumbo gumbo.

Only thing I can think of is money, avs and his agents are to the point that it looks unlikely a contract can be hammered out so they will get something for him when he's in high demand prior to expansion draft

Weber's performance could probably put down to fatigue. He was playing way too many minutes per night to remain effective. Especially against a team like the Sharks.

If you look at it in a different perspective, it would be a welcoming atmosphere for Yakupov. He would actually be able to relate with a fellow player from his home country. I feel like it would be a welcoming change for Yakupov and honestly, I feel like he deserves it, especially after the poop he has had to deal with (Eakins is a big one) while being on this team.

Even if he pans out to be an elite talent in Colorado or anywhere else (If he gets moved), I won't hold any grudges. I'm secretly rooting for him and I hope for the best for that kid. He just isn't on a straight path and imo, he just needs a bit of a little guidance, a little confidence.

Taylor Hall or Eberle plus to Capitals for John Carlson? The Caps have depth on the blue line to be able to live with this deal,and either forward would be a good addition to the Capitals. Eberle may have broke Crosby and the Pens hearts,with his knack for big goals. And Taylor Hall playing out east should give people nightmares...
