I think one of ebs/nuge should go
And the 4th
Moreso than just for the obvious asset they can bring back, but kind of a breakup of that core.
Love the idea of that much talent in our forward group, but I think it's kinda run its course and has proven to be missing something
Shake it up - HB77
Yeah I can definitely get behind the idea of a shakeup but I wouldn't be throwing away valuable assets in poor deals just for that sake. If there is a decent deal to be made for Ebs/Nuge (preferably Ebs) then make it but otherwise the deadline might be a better time to move Ebs if a shakeup is the main reason.
The 4th OA should definitely be considered an expendable asset to achieve the Oil's goals but I don't think it necessarily has to have anything to do with a shakeup. If say Ebs is moved for a D-man this summer and another one is signed (or there isn't a deal to be made for another one) then maybe the best option is to keep the 4th as a potential replacement. |

I hope not. He is just a slightly less skilled, poorer skating, non gap toothed version of Eberle. - Wildschwein
Yeah, I personally put Ebs above him in terms of skill, but Okposo brings a bit more bite and physical edge which Chiarelli seems to value (see Bruins, Boston). |

A lot of people say this but I haven't noticed much of this "edge" when watching him play, playoffs included. And while he may be more physical than Eberle, I could also say the same about my 6 year old niece, so... |

He's almost as soft as Eberle, though. A frustrating player because he has the size and stockiness to be very effective in playing that type of game but generally seems to coast. After Isles fans told me that (paraphrased), I made an active effort to watch him in the playoffs and it checks out. |

The issue with keeping Pouliot and Eberle or adding 6.5 million dollar players like Okposo or Lucic is that there are monster resignings that will need to be done as early as next summer. Patrick Maroon by default might be the best option. Even with a raise in his next contract, he isn't going to get much more than 4mil, if that. |

Pretty sure I've heard Isles fans talk about him in an opposite way saying he doesn't consistently look interested in the game and doesn't seem to really give his all. |

I'd steer clear of Maroon at 4+ mill. |

It's not my rumour. I have no idea who the original source is but it belongs to someone fairly well plugged in. So take it for what it is. Right now, just a rumour. |

Would be a good way to use Yak in a deal. Pou would suck to lose tho but it wouldn't be the worst sacrifice. |

Which still makes them more reliable than Leaf fans.
Especially when it comes to own player values. |
