Yet another reminder of how old I am, I guess. I was virtually in the same place I am now, just fifteen years have passed.......

The Bergevin game was in the President's Trophy season (I was at that game), they went down in the first round. The following season I bought a full season ticket for the first time.

The beat San Jose in the first round in a big revenge match, then swept Dallas (Roman Turek never lost to Dallas seemingly). Then he fell apart against Colorado.

I contend to this day the Blues were the better team and outplayed the Avs throughout that series. Had you simply switched goalies in that series, the Blues win in five.

I don't remember it being the conference finals but I do remember the Avalanche series quite well. It was so frustrating because we would outplay them for about 50 minutes of the game, get stoned by Roy, then Sakic and co would come down and in 5 minutes score on pretty much every chance they got.

It was a different era though, you could really clamp down defensively and there was a huge gap between Roy, Brodeur, and everyone else. I don't think goalies today get in guys heads the was Roy used to.

Still a bad hit. Hopefully our Blues have learned their lessons. Sharks will be a tough opponent

Hometown Ben Bishop stretchered off tonight in the first period. Looked like a left knee/leg injury. It looked like he was in a ton of pain.

Hope he heals well and quickly.

Damn again. He keeps getting hurt really bad in the play offs.

One of three Chaminade boys playing in the conference finals, the other two: Stastny and the black ace Butler. So Butler sort of counts.

Since November on scratchers and I do not play much except I bought a few more than usual after the first three wins but made sure to be way out ahead: $1000, $1000, $1000, $500, $100 X 8. Also random others that just get recycled.

All that money and he is selling pills...geez.

Must have watched Balck Mass one too many times. I would say it is sad but empathy for millionaires failing to have the courage to get help is just not there. I guess I am a bad person.

Blueman, I had a question for you. In St Louis, is the thing to ask, so here it goes:

What high school did you go to?

As an unbiased observer since you guys were able to overcome the Hawks, if I were a gambling man my money is on the Blues to win it all, Bolts, Pens and Sharks are tough good teams but you guys have the best defense in the playoffs this year. The right mix of braun, speed and skill players. Since 2013 the Blackhawks either won the cup or they lost to the team that eventually won the cup and I see that trend continuing, ENJOY and good luck

:lol

DeSmet. Nah. Once played in a summer league where some of the better players from highschool played on a few teams. Played against the then DeSmet goalie and his team and out goalie did not show up. No goalie no equipment. We played with an empty net the entire game. We assumed we would lose but decided to have fun with it. We won by like three goals. The pyschology, the shots not normally taken, and bam we destroyed. I wish I could remember the end score. I remember at least at one time it was 18-16.

Sorry the smart aleck answer triggered that memory.
