Good morning, my Leafy friends.
Let's just try to get through this one, OK?
In hockey news, Kevin Stevens has been charged with drug trafficking:

I"ll see if I can dig up an old article, but the guy got hooked on painkillers after his horrific on-ice accident. Smashed his face in. The doctor described it as if you took a potato chip, put it on the table and crushed it with your hand - that was his face. |

It is up to 10 degrees here. Celsius. or 50 of your degrees - bixll
I know the ol double and add 30 to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit
Obviously not foolproof, but it gives a good approximation. |

Some guy, I forget his name so let's call him Waldo, has trolled the Leafs the last week or so to take Laine over Matthews.
Same guy, Waldo, also just said he would keep Drouin over Laine.
No. I didn't. Make this up. - systemtool
Leafs will take Matthews - he's tearing it up at the world's. Kid is going to be a monster - it's a no-brainer.
As far as Drouin goes or Laine - too early to say - they will both be very good players - stars - who knows? Winnipeg is not moving their pick - the only wildcard is if they pick Puljujarvi over Laine. Tampa has other problems - bad enough they will lose Stamkos, they lose with Hedman next year no matter what. They either sign him for $10 million plus or lose him for nothing. If they sign him - watch out for the offer sheets on Kucherov.

GREENING on 2nd line...
Wow.
Speaking about lack of ambition.
He might not even make the team coming year. - MaximusAurelius
I kind of like him on the 3rd or 4th line. He's a guy who can chip in 30+ points a year |

I love Matthews and believe he should go first. That being said, I wouldn't say he is tearing up the Worlds and to me, that's more of an issue of lack of surrounding talent than anything. |

I've watched him and he's dominating. He's been the best on his team wether you look at stats or not. Outplaying Larkin and Foligno by a lot. |

Your response is accurate but, watch the video - he controls and dominates the play when he is on the ice. Scoring is not where it will be if he had the talent he will have next year.

Well now Rick. He is tied with Conor McDavid. And McDavid is playing on a far better team.. So,, I don't see a problem.
Maybe McDavid is losing it.. |

I've seen him in two games, only one of which was a full game. He definitely is playing strong and controlling parts of the game, I'm just not sure dominating is the right word. |

But this insinuates that I believe McDavid is dominating. I'm not saying they aren't playing exceptionally well, just from what I've seen, I think dominating is strong language. |

Which one? the one where he flipped it to himself over the defender or the one where he bounced it off the boards to himself to set up a scoring play? Leafs have had very few centres if any like this kid.

Multiply by 9/5, then add 32. That will get you the exact number.

Idk, disagree all you want (obviously), I'm just not sure dominating is the right word. I do think he is playing exceptionally well though.
It is a really strange tournament for evaluation purposes though |

I know the actual equation, it's just easier to double and add 30 for an approximation. On the fly, I don't need to know weather it's 2-4 degrees in one direction or the other. |

Do you fellas really care about this tournament?
I don't even think they should be allowed to call it the world championships.
It probably ranks below the Spengler in Caresi. |

Wells and Parsons can be had in the third, probably. Fitzpatrick and Hart are most likely going in the second. I don't know enough about Gustavsson to predict where he's going, but he's a high ranked goalie prospect as well.
Maybe we could trick Washington into another Forsberg-Erat type deal, and snag Samsonov for Bozak. - Steven_Seagull
Samsonov fir Kadri and a third |
