There's no reason one of those can't be a goalie.

It's not like we are "wasting" a pick that we can't afford to use.


Reality is the cupboards are stacked at F, adding another 1st overall. Likely the other two picks would be either on drafting a Dman or packaged to trade for one. I don't have any issue with them using Washington's 2nd rounder for a goalie. None at all
