Kapanen can sure show flashes of what makes him such a decent prospect at times. Dunno if there's a better stick handler on the Marlies

Brown's the real deal fellas. Speed and release is NHL calibre, drive/grit is just going to ensure that he gets ice-time. I wouldn't be upset with him playing on our 3rd or 4th line (the latter would depend on how that line is used).

I'd be down with some Andrew Shaw, but we have way too many forwards right now - it just means another prospect has to wait until next year when Laich, Michalek, Greening are gone. Lupul traded to a team next year that needs to hit the floor. I think his salary is less than his cap hit in that final year of contract.

Definitely more of nice to have than a need.

But, I think if you can acquire a player for less than market, you need to think about it.

Also puts in a stronger position to move a couple forward prospects out to address D/G.
