It looks like Mathews is the best player on the US team. Just by watching them play. He's been better than Larkin, Foligno, Maroon. All NHL players.

Eichel is going to be great IMO.

I hate Ovi as much as the next guy, but this crap has got to stop.

He was Washington's best player in the playoffs. He was clearly pissed they lost.

And now he is going home to play for his country, which is hosting the World Championships.

Hell, if he had decided not to, you poopmouths would be saying that he's lazy, doesn't care about hockey, no loyalty, would rather sit on a beach eating Mr. Bigs and getting fat.

I'm not starting the war but the few times i've seen Eichel play...he looked real good. I havent really watched Matthews...so I'm not in a good position to make an educated response.

But I do like Eichel....and I think Buff has the start of a real nice team.

Most big guys don't pull away from backcheckers with the puck...but he seemed to.

As i said..I havent watched him enough but what I have seen....he looks pretty great.
