I guess it’s partially in how you view fleury. I think he’s pretty good still.

I get if you think it’s too much, but how is swapping pick #27 for #57 and giving up kapanen a ridiculous overpayment?

- Tumbleweed

I'd use the Caps 2nd rounder instead of Pens first.

There's multiple ways to pull a Bruin, but the easiest way is to trade a young and promising player/prospect for a pile of poop and then proceed to shovel said poop down the throat of their fans as a win

At least you got a player back in Marchand

He's captain poop shoveler...listening to his interviews are the worst. I don't care how good of a hockey player he was, I don't care for him as a president of a hockey team.

No no no... pulling a Bruin is working hard to acquire three simultaneous picks in the first round... and then selecting three third rounders with them
- lumlums

I said there were multiple ways and you had to pick the one with the most recent sting to it, didn't you?

I think MAF is a fine goalie ..but you also have to factor in the goalie market, contract and possibility of expansion .. they might have to expose him anyways... so you would have them over a barrel really
- senstroll

Luongo ($ retained) went for a struggling young goalie and a bottom 6 player.

I see pitts is not trading from a position of strength, but I don’t see it as bad as what the canucks were trading from for a number of reasons.

I guess the alternative is too wait until the next season starts to see if MAF requests a trade mid-season from lack of playing time. Price could go down then.

Or wait until next summer for the pressure of the expansion draft to really kick in.

But my best guess is that would be the price during this offseason.

Have to agree... 3 more years at 5.75
With the possibility of expansion.. goalies will come available

MAF for example I wouldnt be interested in unless the leafs can dump some dead contracts and the Pens are paying with picks to move him.. I dont see him having any actual value

- senstroll

maybe a straight up swap for Bernier and they eat $1.25 of MAF's money

Jack echl will be a good player for awhile. He'll be the Turris to that year's Kane (ie. Marner).

Eichel is going to be great IMO.

Very fast for a big guy.

Goalies don't go for that much. Not trading a top prospect and a 1st for a goalie. Way too much.

I hate to tell you but I'm real sure these kids are getting a chance Hymsn is already 24 ,Sesh is 22 Nylander has already been promised ,Marner can't go down anywhere ..we have Rocco ,Demytro kid a slew of young Marlies coming up
- Daddichronic

And I hate to tell you this, but having 11 rookies in your top 9 spots means a lot of rookie mistakes (and losses).

Matthews put up more points than ECHL at every level, and plays a 200 ft. game. So I'd pick Laine.

Mcdavid
Mathews
Laine
Eichel (Although because he's a center I'd be tempted to move him above Laine)
