Does the hole saw factor change things? More torque and less RPMs required I'm guessing? - TheMussel
Both regular or impact will go through fairly easy. It's not that thick. I do hvac and sheet metal and use my impact 90% of the time. Just make sure to get the right hole saw bit for the impact and that it's not straight round for regular drills. |

Hoping to see Rielly make more of an impact. - systemtool
I've had a few games on in the background but wasn't really paying attention to them. |

Anyone thinking Leafs could have gotten a (way) better return in a deal for Kessel should get a reality check.
1. Kessel held all the cards (limited NTC with only 8 teams on it!)
2. Out of these 8 teams, there were surely only a few with capspace to take on 5/6+ million for another 7 years (let alone the full 8mln)).
There was a very low possibility for Leafs to deal Kessel (and Phaneuf!) at all bc of bad contracts in combination with low leverage in negotiations - Leafs' management still did great on both deals. |

most stars have no trades etc....what did CBJ get for Gaborik?
The deal sends right wing Derek Dorsett, center Derick Brassard, defenseman John Moore and a sixth-round draft pick in 2014 to the Rangers. |

I wonder if Ovi cried after the game like he did when Canada beat Russia in the Olympics - Lucas.Neilson
Ovi more concerned with World Championships then he is with winning the Cup. |

Agreed. Liked what they got for Kessel. The part I hated was retaining over 1 mill in salary for rest of contract. That sucked. |

Brassard has been good for the Rangers and I think Moore was/is servicable. But you make a good point, Brassard isn't the beast Gaborik is for 20 games a year. |

St Louis has enough Centre depth that there wouldn't be much use for a Kadri on their team.
I'm guess if the Shat comes our way it'll take a good wing prospect a top draft pick in 2017, and probably a relatively high pick in 2016, and some other garbage. |

That's too much for a player with a year left. Contenders can pay that, the Leafs could not. |

Your scary thought for the day:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/bu...ronto-vancouver-1.3577061
Blistering hot housing markets aren’t the only things currently setting Toronto and Vancouver apart from the rest of Canada ? the two cities also accounted for all of the job growth in Canada, economists say.
“Yes, that means the rest of the country has created precisely no new jobs in the past year,” BMO chief economist Douglas Porter in a recent commentary.
The situation is “extremely unusual” given that two cities account for 25 per cent of total employment in Canada, Porter said.

And just in case that doesn't depress you enough, check this out:
http://www.macleans.ca/ec...reak-show-housing-market/
The gap between income and prices—here we are in Dunbar, which is a very sort of middle class-looking neighbourhood, very average-looking homes, nothing particularly spectacular about them, you know, clapboard and shingle, but every single one of those houses is worth more than $3 million. What kind of city are we in where that happens? You know, people from outside Vancouver who see that find it very hard to believe. But for some reason, a lot of Vancouverites have very quickly accepted this is the reality, this is the norm, and this is what we’re stuck with.

Then we should probably do away with the idea of getting him. Even with a year left, a top 10 d-man in the league doesn't come cheap.
Also, not sure about the exact numbers, but Shat is due for a big raise. Can we fit 18 million dollars worth of cap space for Stamkos and Shattenkirk if we try to re-sign him? |

Ovi more concerned with World Championships then he is with winning the Cup. - Matthews_Auston
I hate Ovi as much as the next guy, but this crap has got to stop.
He was Washington's best player in the playoffs. He was clearly pissed they lost.
And now he is going home to play for his country, which is hosting the World Championships.
Hell, if he had decided not to, you poopmouths would be saying that he's lazy, doesn't care about hockey, no loyalty, would rather sit on a beach eating Mr. Bigs and getting fat.
C'mon, let's be fair here. |

Everyone I bolded is eligible for the Calder next year.
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for the future.
But next year is going to be all about being excited for the future. The present is going to be a tough slog.
Oh, and we aren't getting Shattenkirk. |

Kessel trade worked out well for both parties. Might not be the return fans imagined but given the circumstances it was pretty solid. I have no doubt Hunter will find a great prospect towards the end of the 1st round.
I also think the Leafs should consider making a move with Pittsburgh for Fleury. If they are really looking to bring in Stamkos and rebuild things quickly I think he is the best option they will find in net. |

For what looked like a cap dump ( Gaborik ) 7.5 I think....the Rangers got a pretty good return. IMO |

I'd love to see the flower in a Leafs jersey, but only because I have a Habs fan friend who is a huge Fleury fan and it would break his hockey heart, and I would laugh. |

3). Pittburgh's 1st rounder
4). Corrado, Marancin, Bozak, Bracco, Carter Ashton, Darby Hendrickson.
