Technically it's better to line-up the knuckles of the finger, you can get the wrists into it more that way. But I never could, did not feel right,

Same here. My wrists don't seem to coincide with that grip. Been teaching the boy some new ways to hit, ditching it with him too. He focuses too much on lining up those knuckles, but he can't get a sturdy grip so when he swings the ball hits the bat more than the bat hitting the ball.
