5-0....Troy Brouwer having a great playoffs. Another casualty of the Q doghouse. - kwolf68
I know it's petty, but I kinda like the fact that the Stars are getting blown out after stealing Johns and Oduya. I feel bad for Sharp and Oduya, but not for the Stars overall. |

I like AA but think he is more of 3rd line center...as is Kruger in reality.
But AA has a $4.5 mil cap hit....If TT stays where does he play?
To your point that's what happens when you are forced to play musical chairs...Someone is always left standing. - Al
Anisimov is clearly a 2C. He was having a stellar season until he got hurt mid-season. |

This game is starting to remind me of the 2009 Eastern Conf. semifinal game 7 at Washington when the Caps were blown out by the Pens...
I think it was 6-1? Tough way to lose a big game at home.
Expectations of a great game 7 were not met...just like tonight in Dallas. |

Ladd was supposed to be Hawks Troy Brouwer this time around. - Al
I know. I thought he was getting there. We paid a lot to get him, but that's a trade I do NOT regret. I regret not using the resources used to obtain Weise/Flash on some D help. I think had this playoffs gone on longer, Ladd would have been a huge player. Oh well. |

I'm thrilled by this result, but only because I loathe the Stars and all things Texas. |

Agreed but I still despise the Blues for their stable of goons in the bottom 6. Hopefully San Jose and Tampa advance to the Cup. |

Do San Jose or Nashville match up against the Blues well??? Maybe I'm reading too much into the Blues beating up on a Seguin-less weak Dallas team whose D and goaltending are terrible. But I thought Dallas was the last chance to stop the Blues...

Now the narrative returns to 2014's narrative and being one bounce away from playing for the Cup. Cuz had we beaten the Blues, we would have made mince meat of the Stars and then either the Sharks/Predators. (RED FONT)
Was really hoping Dallas would win so the FO wouldn't think we are one bounce away... - DMChi2010
Both that and that I think the further St. Louis goes the more likely Panarin is gonna want to join is buddy |

I wish they would have traded TT for some D help and still done the Weise/Flash trade. Desi, Shaw, Ras could have all played C. |

Had they traded TT for D help (which I wouldn't have opposed) it would have had to be a younger, cost effective solid D-man |

How can you not be ready for a game 7? I'd rather be the hocks. Go out proudly in the 1st round as opposed to going out like jv's in the second. Dallas should be ashamed. |

Those are the two I'd like to see in the finals. I would love seeing some of the guys on the Sharks get a cup |

I find myself wanting the fewest ex-Blackhawks to advance so I'll take the Blues over the Stars because I think it is 1 (Brower) to 4 (Sharp, Oduya, Johns, and Niemi.) But then take the Sharks over the Blues because I don't think the Sharks have any ex-Hawks. In the east, of course Tampa over Pittsburg to keep Daley out of the finals. This probably makes me a bad person somehow. I wish them all the best in the regular season but it just makes the post season easier the less woulda/coulda/shoulda there is with players on other teams. |

In 2014-2015 there were only 5 forwards that had at least 200 hits and 20 goals...
Interestingly 2 were former Hawks...Ladd and Brouwer.

The Hawks matched up a LOT better against St. Louis than Dallas has... This is the second blowout by St. Louis. They look absolutely dominant against the Stars. I feel like they didn't ever look as dominant against us. - DMChi2010
Considering the entire series was decided by one goal, I'd say definitely. Too bad for the NHL that matchup was in Round 1. |

And we probably keep Ladd after 2010 had Toews NOT gotten the bonus for playoff MVP. I thought David Bolland should have gotten it for the job he did on EVERY LINE he faced.
The bonus to 19 is what prompted the need to move Ladd. Never liked moving Brouwer either, despite his doochy ways against us last round. |

Too bad about the number of Stars fans who have already bailed. I get it, you're losing. But your team gave you one heck of a season and are losing in Round 2 game 7 after going two rounds without one of your top 2 players. You can spare them 20 minutes and send them off with some class. |

He's a 2nd line center with Patrick Kane that is clear...His skill set and production is that of a vg 3rd line center. |

I agree on Ladd...Those trades went down in order of team rank and Ladd was last.

Well bogie, I hope not, don't think I will stick around for another rebuild especially being on a fixed income and prices for our seats nearing the hundo mark per. Gonna take it season by season, if all it turns out to be is the 3cups,so be it and Thank you Rocky! This summer is gonna be verrry interesting. If it gets that crappy down the road and it turns into lotto pick status, then I willbe watching from my recliner, they will have gotten 50 years of season tix out of me probably by then. - wonthecup10
50 years of season tix...man you have been through a few boom bust cycles....thats impressive...
interesting summer indeed....winning leads to big contracts leads to cap deleveraging...who gets deleveraged this summer....
