OK, this sort of undermines your whole argument.

Crawford was huge in both 2013 and especially 2015 when a lot of people thought he deserved the Smythe. I haven't always been a huge Crawford fan, til the last two years when he stepped up to truly elite status. One illustration, I heard last year (from an NHL scout) that some in the Devils front office thought Crawford was better than Schneider, their guy, who is a very good goalie.

If the Devil front office believes that strongly enough, one crazy idea would be to trade Crawford for him straight up, and NJ retains salary on Schneider, as they have the same cap hit, but Schneider has a longer deal. Assuming Crawford has NJ on his list, etc.

Despite a suspect defense, biggest mistake was rushing Seguin back for round 1. They can use him for sure.

No whispers involved yet for me...But it comes down to if Shaw resigns-Then the most feasible trade options are TT/Kruger and AA. That's the way I see it....
After that more drastic measures and a lot more risk.

If the Hawks keep TT and Kruger, then I think they have to strongly consider dealing AA.

But of the 4 I mentioned at least 2 will be elsewhere is my view.

The Hawks matched up a LOT better against St. Louis than Dallas has... This is the second blowout by St. Louis. They look absolutely dominant against the Stars. I feel like they didn't ever look as dominant against us.

I like AA but think he is more of 3rd line center...as is Kruger in reality.
But AA has a $4.5 mil cap hit....If TT stays where does he play?
