Pens getting hosed on calls. Nhl blew this one. 12 minutes of ovechkin and 12 minutes without Crosby, malkin and Kessel. Anything for a game 7. - tocchettough
We all know the make up calls are coming. Just wait.

cant blame the refs for the sheer incompetence of repeatedly rifling the puck over the glass. utter joke.

The simplest call to make is Delay of Game. - wolfhounds
dont get me wrong. im not a fan of the officiating either. but it isnt anything more than just the standard we suck at our job and are slaves to scoreflow officiating.
puck over the glass isn't a discretionary thing. you do it, youre gone. it is what it is.
i mean ideally you dont do it multiple (frank)ing times within a 90 second window. jesus christ.

NHL officiating. - flyer_nutter
In OT? It better be blatant. Letang's hit wouldn't have been all that notable except for the location and the fact Oshie's head slams pretty good off the dasher there.

if thats not letang, i dont know if they call it. like it or lump it, reputations follow players. it is what it is.

Exactly. Nothing subjective about it. And a fan receiving medical help from a puck hitting them is a pretty good indicator the right call was made. Kinda crazy.

it's a stupid (frank)ing rule. if it's an obvious dump over the glass, and it's not hard to tell, fine. otherwise, if they're going to keep it, then make the glass the same height all the way around for (frank)'s sake.
Could be right. It was a pretty nice shot. I'd need to see another replay to see where the puck is in relation to the hit.
Calls get missed all the time, and sometimes bad calls made. Hopefully OT is penalty free. - wolfhounds
he didnt get him high. it was a pretty bang bang play. technically, i dont believe Oshie touched it. so it isnt the cheapest of calls. but i think it couldve gone either way.

Yup, Oshie didn't touch the puck. Close call. Perhaps if Letang didn't look like he was trying to put Oshie through the boards, no penalty.
