IMO there is another drop off to get to the guys like Keller, McLeod, Jost or Bean (I love Jost). So really our choice is made for us. Unless Sergachev can beat out one of these players (he is the only close one) our pick is made for us by Arizona at 7, really.

I agree. The only wildcard here is Nylander isn't viewed in that 2nd tier by some. Sergachev might supplant Nylander??? There typically is a surprise pick, so, I think we get one of the too 7. Would we do #8 and Pysyk for emd #4 and take tkachuk? Would edm do this? I think they may as Pysyk is from edm and they'd still get back too dman that they need at #8

A hometown discount for Stamkos is probably $10M. They "only" offered either $8M or $8.5M depending on the article. That's a $12M-$16M gap over the life of a contract.

I'm on board with that 100%. Would prefer defense coming back, but doesn't have to be...we have to win now.

With GMTM's track record, how many picks we have in the next 2 drafts and the number of up and comers already in the system, it would make sense. Only thing that stops me from "knowing" it will happen is draft is in Buffalo. Like you said, we could move back, I almost don't believe we would have the draft here and make a move so the fans were sitting on their hands for the first day. Just a gut feeling...no source.
