A little! That was huge for them. Killing that off at the end of the period, a period where they got outplayed. I bet they are pretty happy in the locker room right now being down just one.

There's just no aggression. This 'system' is supposed to be predicated on forechecking/pressure but they're so tenative. I would love to hear a collection of audio from multiple intermissions just to hear if ANYONE, coach or players ever show fire in that lockeroom.

It's so sad that still, nothing will be adjusted on the PP.
You need 2 dmen who can pinch control the point. All they have going in an extra forward who isn't capable of manning the point, and instead wants to go down to to where he should be but that spot is occupied. It's killing this team. The only shots they get from the point are by accident

Agreed, totally out played kill off a 4 minute PP and only down 1-0 again has to have them come out with a different attitude in the 2nd. Islanders need to keep skating and play the same way without any let down!
