Reports out there are that one of his UND team mates confirmed Drake saying he chose EDM

I am not sure which place is more desirable? Quicker path to the NHL?

It would be nice if we could land him, if not, oh well.

Probably got Gretzky to call him too.

Or a promise that he wont be chased around by Messier.

Helps that he is looks like that playing against Belarus, I think Laine looks like a great prospect but he certainly isn't the first player compared to Mario and Ovi.

Just like Jultz, the probably promised him top 6 minutes, no AHL time, and PP.

Would have been nice to get another free asset, but it's not like it's some massive loss.

Good for Edmonton.

who were the others? Dont recall that before....but I didnt pay as much attention in the past either to draftees.

Still it was an incredible play. Beautiful goal. Id like to see some more of puljijarvi as well.

The great thing is that next year we'll be able to watch them all.

If youre the young guy you gotta look at the team and go....they have 4 1st rounders already playing top minutes....where does he fit as an undrafted player? Its unlikely he'll bump many of those guys.
Meanwhile the canucks are playing lots of young players. The promise of minutes is more likely in Van. So if it matters to him to get more playing time in the top league in the world, Van would be logical choice.

The comparison's to Ovi come from his incredibly high shooting percentage.

This is his other goal today. He posts up right there most of the time and he has an absolute cannon.

here is his torque of his stick

yes. Good point.

On another note....While I do miss the old style of play with hard hits and the grabbing, the quality of talent has improved in the nhl. SO many good players coming in.

true.....and difficult for the judges to pick as well.

tkachuk vs Dubois for our #5...dubois can be #1C according to projections in SR and compare to jamie benn. But his totals are not even close to tkachuk who has serious finish. Tkachuk also has great playoffs historically. Probably ready in 1 yr or less. Dubois will take a few and likely many to reach potential. Given his ability at centre and comparison to Benn do we take him or tkachuk?

If we can get flames or oilers picks we can maybe get both of course. If oilers pick joulevi that is

graphite and carbon fibre composites, foam core blades. Ridiculously light, flexible yet strong enough to stay in one piece majority of the time
