I posted a few players who have had some success as undrafted college FA the other day that play similar styles. Matt Reid is probably the best from the list I supplied but missed Kunitz who is also a good comparison.

Thanks!
Just seeing if this Caggiula potential is worth people losing their sh1t over.

You really are a crusty old Phuck. Wake up every morning ready to tell someon they are wrong or stupid.

You show me one post of someone really excited or upset if Cagguila chooses the Canucks.

There isn't any risk at all in signing him if everything works out. If he doesn't work out there is zero loss. Win win when signing college FA's imo.

Michael Matheson who isn't even in the NHL played more, and he played like sh)t

Just came across this assessment of Hutton on Hockey'sFuture.com Apparently they're "The #1 Online Prospects Resource". Hopefully they'll get around to updating this info over the summer:

Future

Hutton will report to the Utica Comets or the Kalamazoo Wings for the start of the 2015-16 season and his offense will be an asset to whichever team he finds himself on. If he solidifies his defensive play he should be a full time AHL player no later than 2016-17. Hutton could develop into a good offensive defenseman for the Canucks one day, but that day is still a couple years away.

Kids. So unpredictable.

It is irrelevant if the kid ever plays a game...it's all about winning. If we sign Caguilla, Stetcher and Garteig we have essentially cleaned out the best Undrsfted NCAA players. That's equivalent to a Presidents Trophy in some hockey circles. Just ask Vantel

I understand the no risk factor. I'm just trying to determine whether or not to slot him onto the 1st line or 2nd line for next seasons run at The Presidents Trophy.

Pencil him in on the 2nd for now. If we actually sign him you can move him up to the first.

There is no Dman in this draft that is as good as Tanev right now.
- VANTEL

i don't care about drafting a dman in the first. i'm concerned with just getting the 4th overall to go with the 5th so we get two guys to replace the Sedins going forward. we can draft dmen in the 2nd-7th rounds...

Now this sounds silly but I'll play along.
Can you please please please name us 1 RHD UFA that we can sign for less money then Tanev who will provide better or at least as good of play.
If you were talking edler and signing hamhuis or Yandle I could dig what you are saying...... but Ufa RHD.... nope not happening, sorry

- Pres.cup

why does the dman have to be as good as Tanev in the first place..??

i'm not planning on having the Nux be in the playoffs for a couple of seasons.

I read somewhere (sorry I can't cite the source as I was surfing through a lot of different sites - yes, including clown mime porn) that it was actually Cagguila's parents who were the ones that were dealing with financial problems (and that it was Cagguila's dad that was in fact sick, while the Mom was working two jobs. Thus, Cagguila's anxiousness to turn pro.

Did I happen to misread?

He didn't any choice but to turn pro because his scholarship is over, and he was a senior.

He was't forgoing any education

He has offers from 9 teams and a job offer from a Subway sandwich shop with an assistant manager position open.

say what you want about his deployment and the leafs' lack of centre depth but tyler bozak was a great college free agent signing.

any team would love to get a free prospect like that. fingers crossed on cagguilla (sp?) signing and developing into a roster player.

baby steps toward the larger goal. any new player just gives the team more flexibility (roster wise as well as trade wise).

but yeah, i understand what you're saying. let's not go overboard in our opinion either way.
