When adding Stamkos, Leafs could go from a bottom 5 team in center strenght to top 5 just in 2 years..
Apart from the Buffalo Sabres, I'm not sure which other teams would have more depth and quality on C...

I don't think any team could match that potential for center depth. Not being too much of a homer but wit Stamkos, that is pretty sick. Stamkos, Mathews, Kadri as #3 and before this year Bozak who was our #1 would be #4, that is depth, potential and freaking insane to think about. That's not even pencilling in Nylander as a center. I don't think Edmonton, Colorado or any team could go that deep with that kind of quality. |

Canadian University is so grueling Mathieu Darcheis the premier hockey player to come out of it .
Also by the end of the WC Matthews will have played six more games than Eichel did in his draft year.

If Matthews gets schooled by McDavid in head to head play this morning and Laine has a huge tournament on the big ice for a very good Finnish team....does it not change the conversation on the margins?
