Something I have never understood about basketball:

Raptors sink a basket. Heat get the ball behind their own net, call a time out.

They get to inbound the ball about 75% down the court.

WTF?

If the Leafs are pinned in their own end killing a penalty and they call a time out, does the faceoff go into the other team's end?

If the Bills have a 3rd and 20 from their own 10, do they call a time out and get the ball placed in the red zone?

Yeah, Derozan and Lowry are an embarrassment, but even worse is that other teams seem to adjust to what the Raptors do, and then counter it, seemingly automatically. The Raptors, need heroic efforts to accomplish anything and don't seem to ever adjust to anything the other teams D throws at them.

... not to mention the coach has to share in some of the blame for the abysmal performance of our back court.

They should also be going to no more than 1 timeout in the final 2 minutes.

Clearly the NBA has no will to change this. I guess the thinking is that there is 15 minutes of drama at the end of every close game. Unfortunately, unless you are a basketball fanatic, it is 15 minutes of boredom.
