nolan patrick looks amazing, i wish there was a consensus top defense, like an ekblad, that we could take high next year. we have plenty of forwards, but no real stud defense prospect
- matt1337

yeah... it would be nice if the leafs could find that guy to play with rielly

but can you imagine picking patrick a year after drafting matthews?

matthews, patrick, kadri, nylander down the middle lol

yea that would be insane. i was just looking at potential draftees next year, cal foote, son of adam foote. had 36 points in 71 games this year in the whl. already 6'3 and 198lbs. he could be someone they target if we don't get the 1st pick

I remember Babcock saying he'd prefer to develop Nylander on the wing but trades and injuries forced his hand last season.
- Gunslinger

He said he would have preferred to start him on the wing but he already has played 20 games as a center and looked pretty good doing it. Might aswell develop him as a center as long term that's where you want him. If he isn't doing well at center move him I guess but it be nice to start him there imo. He defiently got better as he played there

Tell this to Babcock. I get the impression Babcock wants him there (wing) for the time being. Mostly from his comments to the media.

he looks interesting. never a bad thing to take a swede, they generally are very good defenseman.

based on their value assessment of him before he became a leaf.... it should be a first rounder for certain
- Dozzer

oh... at least... future Olympian and serviceable 2nd line centerman on a reasonable salary who they desparately wanted when trying to deal Luongo.

2 1sts and a 2nd.
