Why would the Pens trade Murray?? A 21 year old goalie who is playing like a 10 year vet at a cap hit of 625k for next year? The Pens don't need to trade either goalie, so they will have to be blown away to make a trade at the draft, especially for Murray.

Ok that's fair. I just assume Murray's value will never be higher. Penguins could add the potential of another top 6 forward or top 4 d-man on 6 years of cheap contract(s). Penguins still have Jarry who has potential. Let's be honest, MAF and most players playing in the east, on a better team with easier travel ain't waiving for Calgary.

He has a Limited NTC, can list 18 teams he won't accept a trade to. A NMC is just that. NMC means no AHL and no trade. Does this mean he wouldn't accept a deal, of course not. But it makes much more difficult.

Because the Pens would get cap relief, and protect the rest of their team if he was selected, because the expansion team will only be able to take one player from a team.

If he's on the team they'll protect him. Again I doubt the 6th pick for Murray will happen. But to get a top ten pick for a former 3rd round pick is crazy value.

Shouldn't you wait a couple more games before anointing Murray as a franchise goalie? Like maybe something like half a season more at least? It's not the first time a goalie caught fire during the playoffs.
