True. And I don't. Obviously just saying "sell to fans of the home team" doesn't work. There should be a limit to the number of games that you are allowed to sell to other teams fans for.

Example being only allowed to sell 25% of gold/platinum game tickets to fans of other teams.

There's a lot of people who still wait for seasons so when you see a Buffalo/Toronto game with 10,000 Leaf jersey's it's a bit annoying.

It's the same concept as this http://espn.go.com/chicag...t-chicago-blackhawks-fans

It's supposed to be a home game.

So me, living out of area of Buffalo should not be able to make trips to nashville or Florida or Carolina to see the Sabres play because I am a fan of the visiting team?

What should they do? Make them available to the general public? They'll sell out in 5 minutes and it'll be 95% canadian. Even with the way it is the (frank)ing STHs will get them and sell them all to (frank)ing Toronto fans. I heard so much female doging this year about "Oh I can't sell my tickets to Canadians so I didn't get all my money, Boo Hoo". If you sell season ticket seats to fans of teams like Montreal or Toronto you should seriously lose your right to renew season tickets. It's ridiculous.

They are handling this event so poorly it's not even funny maybe they should take some lessons from the Florida Panthers because they did it perfectly for the tickets and the event

You do know it's the leagues event right?

The NHL is in charge the Sabres are waiting on the league.

Yet The Florida Panthers handled the tickets rights you just had to give your location for the Florida residence and they email you back It was so easy and very organized

What do the Sabres do they have nothing they don't have anything on the websites of any information about tickets

5,000 tickest will go to Season Ticket Holders. They get to submit their name and if Supply < Demand they are going to raffle them off to everyone who submitted.

1,000 go on sale to teh general public.

Calm the eff down.

SO I put my seats on stub hub for a TOR game at a price above Market value. A fan of Toronto purchases them, unannounced to me.

I should lose my season Tickets because of that?

- ImThatGuy

No you should get rewarded with a nice juicy steak ..

Honestly annoys me when people say you're not a true fan if you're selling your tickets when you can't go that day

Again, this is for people with season tickets against teams that are known to invade arenas. So this is, for the Sabres, like games against Montreal and Toronto where a considerable amount of the games are filled with away fans. This has no bearing on individual game tickets nor would it matter for a Nashville v Buffalo game.

Furthermore, this has nothing to do with Carolina, Florida, or Nashville and their handling of their season tickets. This is something that the Sabres should do for their season tickets in my opinion.

Not trying to stop fans from going to away games, trying to stop 10,000 of them in an away arena.

What lesson? They gave them away for free with the STH having the first crack at them. Unlike Florida the demand is pretty high here with Buffalo being a big team in it, Toronto being 90 minutes away and getting the 1st pick. So instead of giving all of the tickets to STH's they're giving them 5000. There's a good amount of seats that go to the teams, the players, the family of the players. The rest are available to the public.

Not sure what you would like them to do

Well seeing as no one said that you must not be annoyed. No one is saying they aren't fans. What was said was they enable an arena full of away fans. They make a great haul selling those tickets and a lot of times helps them mitigate the cost of seasons. But it does hurt having 10k fans in your building that are against your team

I agree somewhat with that part but they should have some type of email service like the Florida Panthers did like a waiting list to show people that they're not in the dark

So you want a website so that you can put your email in and try to get them? Fair enough. Sabres don't have that. Not sure that makes them an embarrassment but that's for each person to decide I guess

Maybe if the team hadn't sucked for 10 years this wouldn't be the case...
