So GMTM and several posters in this thread have emphasized the need to get players who play a "heavy" game to win in the playoffs, and I agree it's important. But watching these games for the last week, the real difference I see is not toughness - it's SPEED.

Yes there are lots of hitting and scrums. But everything happens at a high, high pace. We need cruiser weights who can motor and process - and who have the ability to put the puck on their teammates' tape. That's what wins playoff games.

I've actually never seen Gotham. Except like the last minute or so before another show starts. It's just not really my thing that's all. Everyone I talk to that watches it seems to love it.

Edit: I also think Ben McKenzie is a huge tool. So that doesn't help. I think if he wasn't on The O.C. I'd probably like him a bit more.

I've been talking about getting Helm &/or Abdelkader here for YEARS
so underrated!!!

They're actually a big reason I get into it w 89 when he freaks about Girgs playing w Jack...

Helm played on line2 w Datsyuk this season
And Abdelkader played on the top line w Zetterberg

So don't tell me that Girgs DEFINITELY can't play Top6!
He's got more talent than Helm for sure, & prob Abdelkader too

Finding balance, chemistry & consistency among 3 lines is crucial though

Tatar & Nyquist played on line3 most of the year even though they were more talented...
And look at what Pitt is doing with Malkin
And StL has had Backes on the 3rd line a lot

Nowhere did I say I watched it. I saw maybe the first 2 episodes of the O.C. I was like 18 when it started. The girls were pretty hot, can you blame me? But I quickly realized how lame it was and stopped watching.

Comic book shows really aren't my thing. The movies are hard enough for me to watch. I still have a stack to watch. Avengers 2, Thor 2, Captain America 2. And a few others that I can't think of at the moment. Not that I think they're bad; just not my preference.
