? It was a turnover that led to a rebound goal. Perfectly good goal.

Top 10 NHL Restricted Free Agents Who Could Be Traded
By Mark Easson - 05/05/2016

10: Nichushkin
9: Keven Hayes
8: Ryan Strome
7: Andrew Shaw
6: Matt Dumba
5: Frederik Andersen
4: Marcus Johannson
3: Tyson Barrie
2: Sami Vatenen
1: Jacob Trouba
The 2012 first rounder stepped into the Jets lineup as a 19-year-old after leaving the U. of Michigan and has been strong for three NHL seasons. The Jets re-signed defenseman Dustin Byfuglien during the season, have veteran blueliners Tobias Enstrom and Tyler Myers making over $5 Million per season and have to lock up RFA center Mark Scheifele on a new deal.

Trouba will never put up the offensive numbers that Byfuglien will, but brings what most teams are looking for in a top-four defenseman. Winnipeg has 2013 top pick Josh Morrissey in the pipeline and Trouba’s name was floated during the season when the Travis Hamonic trade rumors were percolating.

Am I missing something? Why would the avs have Barrie on the block? That franchise is a joke with the way it's being run

I would think about taking a "Flyer" on Nichushkin. He has been a total bust in Dallas because of his hip injuries and some other factors. But every once in a while he shows what he can do. Maybe a change of scenery is in order. He has the size and power we need.

Not going to lie...I think Schenn will be kept, but I would put him over some of these guys on this list

1. Was he ever a Rempart?

2. Did he at least play in the Q?

3. No? Trade bait.

[Nichushkin] has the size and power we need.
- MBFlyerfan

That is true, but I'd rather not add any more guys w/ iffy hockey sense. I'll take an pint-sized Andrew Shaw over a physical specimen like Nichushkin 7-days a week and twice on Sunday.

Yeah I don't see Barrie going anywhere.

I said my plan. I use the 1st rounder this year and Laughton to start and try to get Trouba.

Nichushkin would be my backup plan as I think maybe a change would help him.

That Colorado management arrangement seems destined to fail.

Maybe Burnaby Joe plays good cop to St. Patrick's bad cop?

Agreed, power forwards can often take a while to develop, I'd certainly kick the tires on a deal for him. Trouba, I would make a legit offer for, he's worth it.

Possibly, though he's bigger and skates better than Brendl. I wouldn't give up the store for him, but I'd still kick the tires.
