Got a feeling Fleury could be available. With three years left on his contract he would be an ideal option while Toronto develops its own goalie from within.

I think the leafs have enough other assets and prospects to swing a deal without including that second 1st. I'd much rather they put a package together and move up or down.... Or whatever direction earlier in the draft is. Unless they truly believe that the expansion draft will create opportunities that they can't pass up. As long as it's not Mark Andrew Flower.... I trust in Management.

It's an interesting possibility. I wonder if the stronger the lineup is, i.e. they sign Stamkos and are already confident in Matthews, Marner, Nylander playing with JVR, Kadri, the more likely they are to try to get a real significant goalie sooner. I.E. they say this lineup we can't blatantly tank at the G position like they did in the second half. Hype and pressure with that glitzy lineup debuting in the centennial, big outdoor game, etc.

Basically I think if they don't pick up some sort of goalie help next year that's giving up on progress up the standings for another year. Which might could be anyway.
