I remember Curtis Lazar being noted for his leadership abilities his draft year. Would the Sens consider a Matthews for Lazar offer? Would we add? I don't really want to give up on Matthews so soon, but the thought of Lazar? It's tempting - walshyleafsfan
I don't think even Lou could pull that one off.
We would have a better chance getting rid of Lupul.

I thought I was pretty good in Bantam too.
Wait...this reminds me - Norm Stefan. I played against this guy my entire younger minor hockey career. When I heard he got drafted I was gobsmacked - he wasn't that good - he was ok...a tiny bit above average, but we had a dozen guys on our poopty team way better than him...WTF!!! How!!!? When!!!? Who did his mom sleep with?

Leafs have gone about it all wrong with goalies.
You need to have numerous goalie prospects, whether they are in the system or being scouted and talked to all the time (guys outside the immediate spotlight)...as it takes a while for some to mature...I can't believe we havn't drafted one in three years! - Lucas.Neilson
12 picks, the odds are at least one goalie will be picked even if they use some to move up. |

Late second early third I'd assume they get one.
The good thing is...our offensive prospect pool is for once of quality.
time to stock up on D and a G that has some hope would be great.

Still need good centres, take a look prospect wise, it is near empty. |

This is Lou's first draft with the team.
You know damn well he's got goalies on his mind - WingmanWillie
They will draft a goalie but their number one will not come from the draft and not this year either - you are talking about a 3-5 year project - and the goalies this year are particularly underwhelming. Anderson or Gibson from Ducks are a possibility - they can get a return before losing one to Vegas.

This same logic applies to Bishop/Vasilevsky and Fleury/Murray as well
We'll see what happens. |

That could well be the lineup next season. That said, when I think "Future lineup" I think of a few years down the road, in which hopefully Laich, Hunwick and Michalek are long gone

True, but the Duck goalies will come at a better price, Bishop and Fleury are big money and are they worth more than the young Ducks goalies?

All three contracts expire after next season, so no need no wait a few years. Greening expires after next season as well. |

I dont care how awesome he's going to be. As soon as I saw that on draft night there was no way I could want him on the team let alone cheer for him and look at that face every game. - systemtool

They have like 5 RFA d-men with no waiver exemptions, there will be movement. |

I took Percy and Harrington over Corrado. Feel like they have more value to the organization. Especially Percy, who we've invested 5 years of development in
Yeah, all the veteran depth guys will be gone. Add in Bernier (if he's still here) and that's another 15m in cap in the bank in 2017
Exciting times |

Shanny and co have invested next to nothing into Percy's development, truth be told.
I think he's gone, along with Marinpoop |

If I had to rank the 5 RFA Dmen:
1. Carrick
2. Harrington
3. Percy
4. Marincin
5. Corrado |
